I had passed my 12th from commerce stream, scoring 79.333%,i am confused in which field i should pursue my career but have the confidence that i can do better,well i am confused when should i opt for a mba degree after 12th or graduation because i had planned to do plain b com, can i do it side by side?it will be a great pleasure if you guide me.

Its good to hear from you that you are much more interested in your future.

For your information, once cant do education side by side at one time a candidate will be able to pursue only one education.

MBA is a Master degree coarse, means for taking admission you have to passed out Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university which comes under UGC.

As said above, that you have planned to do B.com then you will be eligible for taking admission in MBA after completion.

Do not be confused, we are there to help you. The answer is obviously after your graduation. You got a good percentage in your 12th, so do not worry. You just concentrate now on your graduation. Since already you had 12th commerce I will suggest you to go B.Com, but nor "Plain" B.com honors. Instead of the usual course or the "normal" course, why don't you go for B.Com in Taxation or B.Com in Accountancy or B.Com in Auditing. These areas are less sought for and will have good future. After this course, you will have prior commercial knowledge and then when you go for MBA then you will be in a sound position to deal with the subjects.

Now the reason, I am saying to go for B.Com first is not only the knowledge factor. Although this is the first and foremost issue but the next and also very important issue is that you will have to be a graduate to opt for MBA. This is in the norms of MBA admission. Not only do you have to be a graduate, you will also have to be a 50% or above graduation marks holder to even sit for any MBA admission test, commonly called the 'CETs'. Now which CET you want to sit for is up to you. My advice would be to choose from either CAT or MAT or GMAT or CMAT, as these are certain common aptitude tests whose scores are granted in most universities. Also check with the norms of your university which you wish to join for MBA. So good luck with your studies.

It is not a choice whether you want to MBA after class 12 or after graduation.
MBA stands for Master in Business Administration so by its name its clear that is a Masters course or Post-graduate course.
So for obtaining a Masters degree, you will need to have a Bachelors degree before that.

The eligibility criteria for MBA is that you need to have a minimum of 3 years duration graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks in that.
For backward caste, it is reduced by 5%. No backlogs are allowed when applying and final year students are eligible to apply.

So complete your graduation first and then pursue MBA from a good college.

In this regard it is to inform that after twelfth class you should have to go for graduation and then look for MBA course. There are some colleges which are offering Integrated MBA (5yrs) course. But as per my knowledge it is not best for you why because if you complete graduation at first you will have a valid graduation certificate after 3 years only where you will find some opportunities with graduation. If you want further studies then go with MBA.

As you are interested in doing B,com it is good option and after completing B,com you go with MBA Finance where you will find plenty of job opportunities. All the best for your bright career
