You know when we were a child ,our dad used to decide the best for us and he still has enough experience and wisdom to decide what is best for us ….i don’t think its ethical to ignore what your parents want from you and do what you want to do ….ya ,but if you don’t have interest in maths ,that’s a different thing but then why did you ever opted for B.sc maths ……

Master’s in your core subjects is never a bad option …..and there is no degree in the world that can beat it ! plus in companies there are some designations or job profiles that consider Master’s degree as mandatory ….
Even if you want to be a lecturer in future,M.sc degree would be necessary in case of govt. jobs!
Finally when we come to management ,the top institues like IIM’s have additional points for people with a master’s degree ….what else do you want !

As far as the examinations of MBA are considered ,there are two big examinations called CAT & MAT MAT is held 4 times in a year in the months of September, December, February and May.
But CAT is held only once during the month of October-November every year

I don’t think they will be difficult for you as you are from a maths background ….so your preparation should be done in 6 months …..and yes do opt for MBA in finance ……it will provide you with lots of opportunities !

Re: What should i do after B.Sc in Maths in between M.Sc and MBA?

    Hi,

First of all every course have its drawbacks and advantages and each course is good if it lies in your interest area, and you can perform Exceptionally well in that, so its not about MSc or MBA its about your interest area, do not get confused do whatever you think you can perform well in that .
While I was reading your question I understood that you are mainly interested for MBA not in Msc. as you are interested in management related tasks, so I would highly recommend you to prepare for CAT now on wards and if possible join any coaching institute, and then apply for CAT , MAT , XAT etc in your 3rd year.
CAT exam held every November in a year whereas MAT took place 4 times in a year, so start preparing for it and do not think too much just join MBA, but the main thing while joining MBA, is selection of College, I would suggest you to try in top 20 B schools of India, because of the placement reason.

    All the best.

    Hello Friend ,

B.Sc. in Maths and then M.Sc. would have been a good option for you . But as you are not interested in doing that , so no need to tell you in details about that . If you have interest in MBA , go for it . If your dad is disagree then make him realize that Management is a good field with plenty of opportunities with handsome salary .

As you are in the second year , you should start preparations for CAT and GMAT as soon as you start third year so that in the final semester you can give the MBA entrance exams . Coaching institutes will be a good option for assistance as they can give you some tricks and shortcuts for exams . Also they will make you solve lots of sample papers to boost your confidence . Some of the Best institutes are T.I.M.E. , Career Launcher , I.M.S. which have centers in most of the cities in India .

If you don't want to MSC then MBA should be your choice. Since you want a management line, definitely MBA is your choice. But since your dad wants you to MSc. I would suggest you to do it 1st, then go for MBA. THen your dad will also be happy and you will be too. After than you can give any of the CETs like CAT/XAT/MAT and complete your MBA. A double master's degree will give a lot more knowledge grasp than others, that too one in core science line and another in management line. I would say it'll be a deadly combination.

Red face Re: What should i do after B.Sc in Maths in between M.Sc and MBA?

You know after we were a toddler ,our daddy wont to decide the most effective for North American nation and he still has enough expertise and knowledge to make your mind up what's best for North American nation ….i don't assume its moral to ignore what your folks wish from you and do what you wish to try to to ….ya ,but if you don't have interest in maths ,that's a special factor on the other hand why did you ever opted for B.sc maths ……

Master's in your core subjects is rarely a foul choice …..And there's no degree within the world that may beat it ! and in firms there are some designations or job profiles that think about Master's degree as obligatory ….
Even if you wish to be a coach in future,M.Sc degree would be necessary just in case of govt. jobs!
Finally after we return to management ,the top institute like IIM’s have extra points for folks with a master's degree ….what else does one wish !

As way because the examinations of Master in Business are thought of ,there ar 2 huge examinations known as CAT & MAT MAT is command four times during a year within the months of Gregorian calendar month, December, February and should.
But CAT is command just one occasion throughout the month of October-November each year

I don’t assume they'll be tough for you as you're from a maths background ….so your preparation ought to be tired half dozen months …..and affirmative do want Master in Business in finance.
It will give you with uncountable opportunities !
Whereas i used to be reading your question I understood that you simply ar primarily interested for Master in Business not in MS. as you're inquisitive about management connected tasks, therefore i'd extremely advocate you to organize for CAT currently on wards and if potential be a part of any work institute, so apply for CAT , MAT , XAT etc in your third year.
CAT examination command each Gregorian calendar month during a year whereas MAT came about four times during a year, therefore begin getting ready for it and don't assume an excessive amount of simply be a part of Master in Business, however the most factor whereas connection Master in Business, is choice of faculty, i'd recommend you to undertake in prime twenty B faculties of Asian country, attributable to the location reason.
B.Sc. in Maths so M.Sc. would are an honest choice for you.

As you're within the second year , you ought to begin preparations for CAT and GMAT as presently as you begin third year in order that within the final semester you'll be able to offer the Master in Business entrance exams . work institutes are going to be an honest choice for help as they will offer you some tricks and shortcuts for exams . additionally they'll cause you to solve uncountable sample papers to spice up your confidence . a number of the most effective institutes ar T.I.M.E. , Career Launcher , I.M.S. that have centers in most of the cities in Asian country .

Its depends on your Interest there's smart scope of Master in Business and M.SC however the distinction is that Master in Business may be a post Graduation course wherever as M.Sc is not,
If you've got interest in Computer or IT field then I urged you to try to to either M.Sc or MCA stands for Master in Computer Application.
