Re: What are the eligibility criteria for MBA course?

The eligibility criteria for MBA course is minimum 50% marks in graduation in any discipline from any recognized University for general category and 45% marks in graduation for reserved category.

The entrance exams for admission programs in different colleges are : CAT, MAT , XAT, GMAT etc.

    CAT :

It is a common admission test that is conducted by the IIMs every year for admission to their management programs. It is an online test that is conducted during a 20 day test window in the month of October and November. Top colleges like FMS, MDI, IITs have now started considering CAT scores for their admissions as well.

    XAT :

It is a management test conducted by the XLRI for admission to their institute as well as other B-schools like XIM Bhubaneshwar, Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai. It is an online test conducted during the month of January every year.

    GMAT :

It is an online test that is conducted for admission to top B-schools all over the world. This score will also help in securing a seat in ISB, Hyderabad.

    MAT :

It is a management aptitude test conducted by the AIMA (All India Management Association). It provides admission in B-schools other than the IIMs. It is conducted 4 times a year in the month of Feb, May, Sept, Dec.

Also, you are definitely eligible to sit for all these exams even without a Maths background. The only difficulty you may face is during the entrances as most of them have a section of quantitative ability which is one of the toughest sections in the exam. But if you work hard and get your basics in Maths right, there will be no problem whatsoever.

    All the best!!
