The minimum eligibility for CAT is you must complete your graduation from any recognized university.

For CAT you must score minimum 60% marks from graduation.

After CAT examination you can go top IIM's.......

Re: What is the eligibility criteria for CAT exam after B.Tech?

There is not any definite percentage categorized for B.Tech graduates. The eligibility criteria for CAT exam for all the Bachelors degree holders in any discipline is 50%.Details given below.

    Eligibility criteria for CAT exam-

    1. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to MBA is at least a 3-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/ All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as eligible for Post-Graduate Studies in Management.

    2. The candidates applying must hold a bachelor's Degree with a minimum percentage of 50%( 45% in case of SC/ST/People with disabilities).

    3. Candidates who are in the final year of their bachelor's course or equivalent or those awaiting results of their graduation exam may also apply. However you must provide a certificate from the Principal/Head of the Department/Registrar/Director of the university/institution certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year / is awaiting final results and has obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category).

    4. Students with pending Backlogs are not eligible and should not apply.

Many factors determine admission in top B-schools.-

First is the CAT percentile scores that is given about 50% of total importance in selection.

Other factors such as 10 , 12 and Graduation exam marks, Postgraduate work experience also are given weightage that can range from 20% of the selection procedure marks.

Interview , on the otherhand, add the remaining 30-50% of the marks.

So, in my opinion try to score 100 percentile score or as near as possible to get calls for interview from top b-schools.

    Good Luck

Re: What is the eligibility criteria for CAT exam after B.Tech?

    dear aspirant.....

exam is considered as the toughest MBA exam..

It is conducted for MBA admissions at

[h=1]CAT Eligibility[/h] The candidate must hold a Bachelorís Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (It may also referred to as Persons with Disability (PWD) category)], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelorís degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelorís degree. In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidateís CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelorís degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if he/she submits a certificate latest by June 30, 2013 from the Principal/Registrar of his/her College/Institute (issued on or before June 30, 2013) stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelorís degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate. IIMs may verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process, the details of which are provided at the websitewww.catiim.in.

Applicants should note that the mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for shortlisting by IIMs.

Prospective candidates must maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.
