Hello Suresh, well, first of all I would advise you to fill forms for more than one institute while applying. On second thoughts, talking about the PGPM course of Management Development Institute, the institute refers to the CAT scores only.

This institute looks at candidates acquiring at least 97.9 percentile while considering for calls for the joining of PGPM course. At the same time the sectional percentile they look for is at least 80 percentile in each section of the CAT exam. Having said this, there are more institutes wherein you can be considered if you score this much in your CAT exam. It is important to note here that this percentile is purely based on past records and there can be change in figures in current season.

MDI Gurgaon is a very good college to aspire for.It conducts admission on the basis of CAT score.A very high cat percentile is required definitely above 96 but the trend varies from year to year. After that it is followed by group discussion and personal interview.Few colleges like IIM Bangalore now opt for a written aptitude test instead of group discussion.
I would also advise you to apply for other colleges also in Delhi like IMI, FORE,LBS,IMT ghaziabad etc.

    Hello,

MBA has been emerged out as a most potential career among all. It has been proved fruitful whenever it is done from good colleges. As a result most of the good B-schools in India have their own set of criteria for selection of candidates. Most of the top institutes accepts CAT score for their entrance and is known for qualitative education in the field of MBA.

MDI, Gurgaon is also included in the list of top most institutes known for their MBA. The criteria and the entrance exam that it accepts are-

    1) minimum of three years bachelorís degree with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline recognized by association of Indian universities/AICTE.

    2) MDI uses CAT for shortlisting candidates for all the programmes. The CAT percentage usually varies from 95% to 98% depending on the difficulty level of CAT in that year.

    3) Final selection process is done on the basis of performance in CAT and subsequent group discussion and personal interview.

However there are some other good colleges also like IMT, Ghaziabad etc. So you can try for them also ,keeping as an alternative.

    Thank you
