Re: Subjects for NET after MBA in IT?

Dear if you are pursuing MBA in Information Technology and wants to enter in the teaching field then it is very good career option for you after MBA or any other master's degree and dear if you wish to apply for UGC NET Entrance test then you should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and a master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% marks and 50% marks for SC/ST category candidates

If your stream is computer and Information Technology then you may choose any one of the following subjects for UGC NET Entrance test

    Management
    Computer Science and Applications

After that if you do not wish then you can choose other helpful subjects also

    Human Rights and Duties
    Mass Communication and Journalism
    English Literature
    Hindi Literature
    Social Work
    Education
    Sociology
    Political Science

Examination Pattern : There would be following three papers in objective type pattern

Paper I - General Teaching Aptitude : Reasoning, General Awareness, Comprehension, Divergent Thinking and you would get 60 questions and you would have to solve any 50 questions out of all 60

Paper II - This is the second paper in which you would get 50 questions of your selected subject and all 50 questions are compulsory

Paper III - This paper contains 75 objective type questions on the basis of your selected subject

Qualifying in each paper is necessary and if you pass any two and failed in one then you would not be declared as pass in the examination so that dear please prepare hard for each section in this exam

I have attached some question papers and syllabus for this examination please download and prepare well for the examination and UGC will announce the notification for Next NET examination in April and the examination would be conducted in June

Re: Subjects for NET after MBA in IT?

UGC-NET exams are conducted by UGC two times in June and December each year

Eligibilty to apply to the UGC-NET exams is:
    Post Graduation pass
Minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation for the General and OBC candidates
Minimum 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates

UGC advises candidates to apply for the NET exams in those subjects only in which they have done their post graduation.

Now since you have done your post graduation ie MBA you can apply in the subject Management.
You have the option to apply in Computer Applications as your MBA has been done with Specialization IT

Next NET exams would be conducted in June 2013
You can fill the forms in March 2013 through the website www.ugcnetonline.in
    Net exams has three papers
All the three papers will have questions in the Objective mode only
