Either do MBA or M.tech Its all depends on your interest but i only give the information about MBA or M.tech,

But I suggest you to do M.tech because you are from B.tech background, As every student know that GATE is conducted for Admission to all engineering course right from Computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, mechanical and civil engineering. The number of admissions offered in these engineering courses are very limited therefore getting less score not able to get admission in top colleges so you have to get good percentile to get admission in Top colleges for M.tech.

And If you want to do MBA then you have many advantages, MBA stands for Master of Business Administration it is of 2 years and To do MBA you have to appear in CAT/MAT exam mostly university give admission on the basis of CAT exam which is conducted by IIMs.
The CAT paper is totally in English and time duration of the exam is 120 min.

The CAT exam consists the Following :

    Quantitative Aptitude
    Reading Comprehension
    Verbal Ability
    Data Interpretation
    Reasoning
    Data Sufficiency.

You should get good marks to get admission in top colleges.
For more information you have to visit the official website because the pattern of CAT exam varies every year.
    Good Luck.

Re: Should I go for MBA or M.Tech after completing B.Tech Food Engineering/Technology?

before starting i just want to give a quotation
    "EARN MONEY LIVE FAST--MBA"
    "EARN RESPECT LIVE PEACEFULLY--M.TECH"
So acc.to this,if someone opts for mba,he can earn money quickly as nowadays there is a lot of scope for mba degree holders, they can earn fast as they are offered great packages.
But if one opts for m.tech,he is more into teaching line,so he can gain respect and have a quite peaceful life as there is comparatively less burden on a teacher than on a job holder after doing mba. With m.tech, you will have masters in the softwares and alike .It is also related with your background. So think deeply before choosing.
You can go for mba after your mtech also and can have a greater scope. All the best.
