Re: Should I do MBA after B.E?

Yes. You can do MBA course after completion of your BE course since you have met the minimum eligibility criteria for MBA course i.e. Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. In addition to this, you should have to secure a minimum of 50% of marks in your Graduation in order to be eligible for the entrance exams which give admission for this course.

I suggest you to go for Job Opportunities rather than opting for MBA course soon after completion of your BE course because you are going to get 2 years of good industry experience by the time you finish your MBA course.

If you did not find any good job opportunity, then I suggest you to opt for this course. There will be number of entrance examinations that give admission for this course like
    -CAT
    -MAT
    -GMAT
    -SNAP
    -XAT

In addition, there are number of state wide entrance exams that give admission for MBA course in and around colleges of that particular state. If you are interested, you can opt for these exams also.

There are number of specializations that are being offered under MBA course. You can choose the one which you are interested. Here I am listing some of the popular specializations in MBA
    -MBA in Finance
    -MBA in Marketing Management
    -MBA in Systems Management
    -MBA in Human Resource Management
-MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
    -MBA in Retail Management
    -MBA in Tourism
    -MBA in Pharmaceutical Management
    -MBA in Hospital Management

Being a candidate of BE, I suggest you to opt for Operations Management or Systems Management. HR specializations is also a good choice for you.

Candidates who have done MBA after completion of their B.Tech are in good demand these days. Because the organization can use these guys in order to manage the technical aspects as well as managerial aspects.

Re: Should I do MBA after B.E?

    Hello,

Yes,It is depends on your interest whether to go for MBA course or not But if you go for MBA course then you will be having chance to get opportunities in the top ranked companies in to directly their senior level management and Middle level managements with huge packages. If you find opportunities with B.Tech,Yes you can find plenty of opportunities but you will get very less packages than compare to Management candidates.Management candidates are have huge demand in India as well as in the Abroad. As your a Engineering Graduate then you will be having more chance to get better opportunities. Some of the companies will give more preference to the candidates those who have completed their MBA with Engineering back ground.

    You should be having at least 50% of marks in your Engineering from recognized university and If you are related to any SC and ST then 45% of marks are enough.There is no age limit.You must qualify in entrance exams like CAT,MAT,XAT,ICET,GMAT etc..entrance exams.In MBA there are number of specializations,some of the best which you suits are;

    -IT Management
    -System management
    -International Business Management
    -Supply chain management
    -Global Logistics
    -Human resource management
    -Pharmaceutical management
    -Operations management
    -Marketing and management
    -Retail Management
    -Telecom management
    -Entertain Management
    -Sports Management
    -Event management

In my opinion, for you operation management is the best specialization. In this field you can find plenty of opportunities in the market. This is mainly for the engineering graduates. You can go for Human resource management also, this also will help you,but for this you must be having excellent communication skills to get opportunities in this filed otherwise not possible. But try to do MBA from top ranked institutes where you will be having chance to get opportunities in the education days it self.Once if you come out from the college then it will be difficulty to find opportunities in the market.

Re: Should I do MBA after B.E?

After BE , you have lot of options.
Although you have better option to do Mtech, which would be more relevant. So, if you are interested in any specialization after completing Btech, you should go for it. Even you can apply for MS abroad, dont worry about finance, you can easily get Education loan.
But if you are fed up of engineering , then its better to go for MBA.
You have to prepare for various entrance exam like CAT, XAT etc.

Re: Should I do MBA after B.E?

    Hello,

It is not your wish. It is mandatory for you to pursue your MBA course after completion of your Bachelor of Engineering. Because It is the Degree course that you are pursuing . After which you will be an eligible candidate to pursue your MBA course. If you are able to maintain minimum of 50% of marks in your graduation so that you can pursue your MBA course. You are required to go for your Engineering degree so that you will be an eligible candidate to pursue your MBA course. Therefore, it will be better for you to go for your Engineering course for pursuing your MBA course. I think you should know the eligibility criteria :
    - Minimum of 50% of marks in your graduation and 45% of marks for SC/ST students.
    - No age limit.
    - Graduation from recognized University.
