    Hello dear Friend

There is Only Possibility to write CAT Exam is During Final year of Graduation or the Completion of Graduation

But there is No restriction on the Preparation so you can Prepare from the 2 and 3 rd years as well

It would save the time for Coaching

You should remember one thing you have to Concentrate on the Academics as well

Since for CAT examination you have to secure 50% of marks in your Graduation

There is a Relaxation for the SC/ST candidate about 5% of marks

If you have Backlogs you should clear the Backlogs with in Graduation

Otherwise it will be difficult to complete it and If you score Good marks in CAT there is No use of That score

So Try to balance both simultaneously

    That is all

    Good luck

Re: Right time for CAT after graduation?

    Dear...

You have asked a question which is so common now a days for aspirants preparing for common admission test (CAT). See there is no right time for the preparation of CAT and you can start preparing for the exam whenever you feel like doing so, CAT is one of the most sought for exam and every year competition as well as the number of candidate increases in the exam. If the number of candidate is increasing then its obvious that one has to prepare very hard in order to get admission in one of the most reputed colleges that we have in the country. If you want to know the right time to prepare for the exam then let me tell you that its better to start preparing for the exam as soon as you enroll for your graduation.

Once you are in first year then you should start preparing for the exam, And the first attempt for which you should try for is in second year. If you go for your first attempt in second year then you will get to know about various thing which will never told to you in your coaching classes. You will get to know about the paper pattern, Toughness of the exam and how to write the exam while keeping time in the mind. How to give proper time to each and every part of the subject. How to equally divide the time for all sections.

Once you know all these things and in your final year if you go for the attempt then you can score well and get good colleges but if you waste like 2-3 years in your preparation then you can waste these years as all the candidate who had prepared for the exam since their college time will be ahead of you every where.

So its better to prepare for the exam as soon as possible.

    CAT ELIGIBILITY

    1. Graduation from a recognized university
    2. No need to have some specific subject
    3. Unlimited no. of attempts
    4. minimum marks is 50%
    5. Relaxation to candidates from SC and ST
    6. No age limit.

    Hope it will help

    Cheers...!!!
