    Required experience for admission in top MBA colleges through CAT?

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    Can you please shed some light on the number of years of experience desirable for taking CAT examination following admission to one of the top MBA Institutes.

    Dear Aspirant,

    Experience is not a mandatory to take Common Admission Test.

    Eligibility Criteria for CAT::


    A candidate should obtained bachelor's degree with minimum 50% of marks(45% of marks for SC/ST Candidates) can eligible to apply for CAT

    (OR)

    Final year students of bachelor's degree also eligible to apply for Common Admission Test

    (OR)

    If you any experience after graduation 50% of marks (45% of marks for SC/ST ) ,You can also eligible to apply for CAT.

    Experience ::


    If you have minimum two years experience ,You can get additional score at selection process for IIMs and Top Level B-Schools.

    Maximum every IIM and Top Level B-Schools give a importance to Experience Candidates .At selection process they give a additional 3 or 5 Marks for Experience candidates at Admission process .

    Experience is not a mandatory.Freshers also eligible for studying in IIMs

    • CAT Score
    • Academic Percentages
    • Group Discussion/Just a Minute
    • Experience
    • Personnel Interview
    Every IIMs calls for next admission process rounds for good CAT Score candidates.If you have good Academic percentages ,You can get some points ,If you have working experience you can also get additional points and Group discussion and Personnel Interview good performance you can get some more additional points

    So dear aspirant,Finally I conclude that experience is not a mandatory .If you have good performance in CAT,Group Discussion ,Academic Percentages and Interview .You can get admission in good and Top Level B-Schools or IIMs.

    Hello Friend ,

    Firstly, i would like to clear your doubt that is in order to get admission in TOP MBA colleges through any MBA entrance exam , you do not need to have an

    experience .
    The only thing that is required to sit for an MBA exam is that your GRADUATION degree , if you are having Graduation degree with 50% in any

    discipline , then you can
    easily sit for exam , what is matter in time of admission to TOP MBA colleges is your percentile that you have obtained in CAT or any

    MBA entrance exam . Your percentile
    must be above 90 then only you will get admission into these colleges which accept CAT SCORE .

    There is not necessary having experience for getting the admission in MBA course.MBA is the master degree course.It is good decision to appear in the entrance examination for getting the admission in good and reputed institute of MBA.

    CAT is an entrance examination ,On the basis of marks of this exam one can get the admission in top MBA colleges.To be eligible for this examination there is not mandatory to have any experience.

    To be eligible for this examination aspirant has to score minimum 50% marks in their graduation aggregate.Only the reserved category students like SC/ST aspirants gets the relaxation by 5%.i.e. they have to score minimum 45% marks in their graduation aggregate to be eligible for this examination.If you are of the final year student then also you can eligible for this exam.

    Dear Piuli ,

    As per your query , work experience is not mandatory for getting admission , but yes work experience could be your strength or plus (+) point as you may aware of Top B-

    schools like IIMs they give 70% weightage for CAT WRITTEN examination & 30% they refer to work experience & over all academic performance .

    So Try to be good in CAT written examination , group discussion & personal Interview this will surely lead to TOP B-SCHOOLS .

    For writing CAT exam ;
    work experience is not needed only you must have secure 50% marks in your graduation .

    There is no Work Experience Mandatory in MBA Indian College ... But, If you have work experience related you're specialization then first preference will be given to you ..

    If you're aspiring to apply for MBA Course aboard then then definitely you should have work Experience to get admission for MBA Course ..

    I think that you're aspiring to apply for MBA Course in India .. So , work experience is not mandatory for you... You may apply for MBA Course in Indian without work experience also ..

    But, you should score good percentage of marks in you're Bachelor degree course and Entrance Examination ..

    Based On that you may get admission for MBA Course in top Colleges .. So, I suggest you to Concentrate in MBA Entrance Examination to get admission for MBA Course ..
