Re: Qualification needed for admission in IIM?

Yes it is possible to get seat in IIM .In IIM they will see academic records also but it is not taken into consideration that much they will see only whether you had completed the graduation with an aggregate of 50% or not.Academic records also they will see but it is exceptional. So inorder to get seat in IIM first of all you should complete your graduation with a minimum of 50%
and for sc/st there is a relaxation of 45% .we can do graduation from any discipline such as arts,commerce,science,economics,B.E,B.Tech,B.Sc,B. Com,etc. If we have aggregate above 50% we are allowed to write the exam.generally it is possible to get into IIM only by writing the entrance test such CAT and mostly we have to get 85%above percentile and through GMAT also there is chance of getting into IIM by getting GMAT score more than 715 and by attending group discussion and personal interview and performing well then only you are eligible to get into IIM's.If you have work experience they will take it also into consideration and any other extracurricular activity that is needed is taken into account such as dance, singing, sports. As you said that you have 1 year experience so it will a plus point to your percentile when they choose in selecting the candidates.
    and many more are there.............
    hope the information helps you.........
