    Hello,
By 40 marks, I think you mean rank 40. Well if it so then do not look anywhere else and straight go for AIEEE. You will get engineering in a good college and some of the top level colleges. Securing 40 rank in AIEEE is huge. So congratulations on that. Please participate in the counseling procedure to check which colleges you get. Now if you do not want to go for engineering and you most definitely want to for MBA, then you can utilize the CAT score also for any top college. Since you mentioned the rank and did not mention the equivalent percentile, it will be difficult for me to predict whether you will make it in IIM. But just by seeing your rank anyone can say that the rank is a good one and for top level colleges this is a very eligible one. But to be sure here also you will definitely have to participate in the counseling procedure to check which colleges you get. With CAT score you can apply for any regular college where distance college or even abroad colleges where CAT scores are applicable.
