    dear friend.
academic records keeps a weightage of 10% only, if you scores very high in written test and performs well in gd and pi then you have a good opportunity to get admission in iims also, you are having a work experience which carries a weightage of 20%. so your hopes are alive. so just prepare and score more and more marks and enhance your communication skills.
    all the best.

Here's the selection process of IIMs and top business schools of India:

    1.Entrance Test:
    a. CAT: All IIMs as well as S.P. Jain Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, NITIE Bombay require Common Admission Test (CAT) scores.
    b. XAT: Xavier Admission Test is conducted for admission in GIM Goa, XIM Bhubaneswar, BIM Trichy, XIME Bangalore etc.

    2.GD & PI:

After getting selected in the written test applicants have to take group discussion and personal interview. GD is not the elimination stage.

    3.Admission:
The admission depends on your performance in Aptitude test, GD & PI. Work experience also counts. Here's the selection criteria for IIM Ahmedabad:
a.The CAT score is given 70% weightage and academic records are given 30% weightage.
b.Academic scores of more than 80% get 3 scores, between 60-80% get 2 scores and less than 60% get 1 score.
c.Work experience of more than 2 years get 3 scores, between 1 & 2 years get 2 scores and less than 1 year get 1 score.

So, If you want to get selected in IIM Ahmedabad your CAT percentile should be more than 99% and work experience more than 2 years to make up for the poor academic records.

    Hello Friend,

If you secure good percentile in you CAT entrance then it is enough to get into Top business schools.

As you have 62% in your graduation you can write any entrance exams like CTA,MAT,XAT,SNAP,GMAT etc.

I am giving you the cutoff percentiles of Different B schools refer it.

*As you are interested in (MDI)Management Development Institute you should get at least 97 percentile in CAT.

*For SP Jain Institute Of Management you should get at least 85 percentile in CAT.

*For (NITIE)National Institute Of Industrial Engineering you should get at least 98 percentile in CAT.
