Please tell if the experienced candidate are preferred in Business Schools in India or not?

My name is Nidhi Gupta and currently I am working in a reputed MNC at a managerial level. I have an experience of 3 years and prior to joining a job I completed my graduation in Commerce stream and then did MBA through correspondence. However, now I feel that regular MBA gives you an upper edge. Could you please tell me if there is any quota for experienced people applying to business schools?

Hello, Nidhi. Well it seems like you have good professional experience. As far as business schools preferring the experienced candidate is concerned then let me inform you that there is no quota for such category.

However, it is obvious that an experienced person is more mature and intelligent than a new comer or a fresher. The only difference which you will face in comparison to the fresher’s is that if you are working then the interviewer will ask you job specific questions as well however in case of a new comer the questions asked are either related to education or generic in nature.

there are no such quotas that you can go for.
but as you are experienced enough you can try to go for executive MBA. that will be a much more better option for you.

Though there isn't any specific quota in any of the MBA colleges for experienced professionals. But people with work experience have an edge as compared to freshers in the selection process for MBA.There are also few colleges like ISB Hyderabad where prior work experience of certain duration is part of eligibility condition.
Also if you have the option of doing an executive programme from really good B Schools if you donot wish to enroll for a full time regular programme to save one precious year. For example IIM Ahmedabad offers one year PG Programme for executives (PGPX, equivalent to MBA).IIM Calcutta offers one year residential PG Programme for executives(PGPEX),one year full time residential PG Programme for executives for visionary leadership in management (PGPEX-VLM) and IIM lucknow offers international programme in management for executives (IPMX).

Re: Please tell if the experienced candidate are preferred in Business Schools in India or not?

    Hello,

It has always been seen that an experienced person not only possesses the enough knowledge about an organizational culture but he/she is much mature to take the decision. They have a better view of handling the things and to make a judgment whenever it is necessary. All these things are noticed while making a decision about a candidate admission with experience in B-schools. So, your experience is definitely going to benefit you a lot.

No there is no quota for any type of experience, it is beneficial only while doing executive MBA in which there is the demand of working professional only. But as you said you want to enter into two year regular MBA course, definitely it will provide you an edge over fresher but it will not offer you any other benefits in term of quota. Not only an edge but your experience will definitely going to benefit you in your study. You have practical exposure that will make it easy for you to understand theory.

However while interview, much of the time will be focused on your job only like about your responsibility, any particular achievement during work etc. So you need to be prepared for it along with entrance exam like CAT, XAT etc.

    Thank you

Hello Nidhi, you seems like very professional and experienced person.Actually there is no quota which are you talking about.you could also have same opportunities as a regular MBA degree holder have.a MBA always work only on proficiency and good skills.you are already a professional and you could understand well about the corporate culture.

according today's scenario the economy is in a big boom which is hampering to the whole market that is the main reason for job cuts or appraisals.otherwise seriously a experience always be first as compare to any fresher.but some how we can say still the competition in market is tough so,you need to work with very proficiency and confidence which could give promotion.

of course you are a MBA that is correspondence or whatever but the truth is that you are a MBA so,you better know every quality of a MBA.

    Hi Nidhi,

As you said that quite true regular MBA gives you upper edge, but as you have such good experience, i would suggest you to Do Part time MBA through FMS. it is a quite reputed institute same for Part time as well as full time MBA. Evening its arrange classes in evening if you can take it. Otherwise there are many other good options for Part time MBA where you can get admission for MBA and your experience gives you better chances.

    You can try these ones:-
    NMAT
    MAT
    RMAT
    XAT
    IMT Ghazibad

    All the best!

Re: Please tell if the experienced candidate are preferred in Business Schools in India or not?

It looks good on you as well as professional experience.
However, this is a new comer or an experienced person who is clearly intelligent and mature than fresher. You are fresher in the country compared to see the only difference is, you work, if the interviewer tell you the job specific questions, ask the same, although a new comer in the case of questions or of educational or nature.experienced Common, asked the candidates are always a combination of time of any MBA college high priority but the colleges have no such No reservation is, in fact, admission process, many fundamental and one of the criteria on the experience and candidates point to their type, and experience time basis, its always best, even different companies, with a fresher and have already experienced in business than the ring needed to because of an MBA degree and then go experience
IIM Ahmedabad is a golden year. For donot save you a full time regular program, for example, if you want to join the executive program is a good B-schools, even if the option to stay for one year program for executives (PGPX, equivalent to MBA). IIM Calcutta residence in a residential program for executives (PGPEX), management visionary chief executives of one year full time residential PG Pro gramme (PGPEX-VLM) and I. Lucknow M executives (IPMX) program provides international management. It's always a sufficient knowledge of an experienced person who has an organizational culture only, but he / she is very mature decision, and I saw that. They handle things, and whenever it is necessary to make a judgment will have a good view. A decision about a candidate's enrollment in schools of all this experience, they noted. Therefore, you are sure your experience is going to benefit a lot.

Any type of professional work experience is not required for any assignment is only when the executive MBA, it will help. You must enter a two year regular MBA course, but it's fresher than you are sure you have a tip for the allocation of time, but it can provide other benefits. At one end only, but of course your experience will benefit you in your research. You can easily understand the concept that you must be a practical expression.

In an interview, how much time must be careful when you work together like cat's entrance should be ready for it, so only your responsibility, however, when working as I want about any particular job, XAT etc.you person.Actually experience the most professional manner and have a regular MBA degree holder . a MBA is always the same power and better opportunities as a professional already has about.you skills.you that work well can understand you saying that you have any reservations about the corporate culture.

Today's environment, according to the intensity of an experience is always first in any fresher.but compared to job cuts or appraisals.otherwise main reason that the market plays a major growth and we are still in competition, how say some of the market is very tough, you are very capable and promotion can give hope want to work.

Re: Please tell if the experienced candidate are preferred in Business Schools in India or not?

knowledgeable applicants are invariably supplied far more inclination in a different mba program college or university during the time of the classes but there's no allowance that way most of the universities ,actually the classes process has numerous standards along with among the list of standards will be the action plus the applicants are provided points on such basis as the sort of along with time of experience they may have ,it's often improved to have quite a few practical knowledge along with go for the mba program amount simply because perhaps the many manufacturers like to hire pros who were owning practical knowledge instead of excessive ring a great cleaner after which teaching them simply because it procedure requires the two some time and and yes it requires investment in it with the candidate with no make sure the candidate will remain rear once the completion to train in order to prevent most of these conditions organizations choose to higher practical knowledge applicants.

Although there isnrrrt any sort of allowance most of the MBA universities to get knowledgeable professionals. But those that have work experience provide an edge as compared to freshers from the process to get MBA.There can also be couple of universities just like ISB Hyderabad in which previous work experience connected with specific length of time is part connected with membership and enrollment condition.
As well have got the option of accomplishing an executive process out of fantastic N Educational institutions should you donot hope to enroll to get a daily frequent process to save 1 important year. For example IIM Ahmedabad presents a year PG System to get vip's (PGPX, equivalent to MBA).IIM Calcutta presents a year housing PG System to get executives(PGPEX),a year daily housing PG System to get vip's to get visionary leadership around administration (PGPEX-VLM) along with IIM lucknow presents international process around administration to get vip's (IPMX).

That has been observed that a highly trained man or women not only includes the more than enough expertise about a company way of life however he/she is significantly fully developed for taking decision. There's a improved take a look at controlling the things along with to manufacture a judgment any time it can be necessary. Every one of these issues emerged though making a decision about an applicant classes with knowledge of B-schools. Hence, a person's practical knowledge will be bound to profit that you' lot.

Not any there isn't a allowance to get almost any practical knowledge, the item is helpful just though accomplishing exec MBA during which there's the need for performing specialized only. Nevertheless as you reported you would like to enter into 2 year frequent MBA system, unquestionably the item will provide you a good sharp edge around cleaner however it won't supply you with another added benefits around phrase connected with quota. Besides a good sharp edge however, your practical knowledge can bound to profit anyone within your study. You may have functional publicity which will permit you to definitely recognize theory.

On the other hand though meet with, much of the time might be centered on your work just just like regarding responsibility, any kind of distinct good results through operate etc. Hence you need to be prepared for doing it as well as entry assessment just like CAT, XAT etc.
