Re: Percentage criteria in degree to get admission for MBA?

    Dear friend,

There are some top institutes like Calcutta University see the past academic details of the MBA candidates for making the merit list but some institutes not seen in this way, they only give admission on the basis of the Entrance Exam, GD and PI. So, it depend upon the institutes or university rule.

As you want to do MBA then do but in my suggestions you do your Master Degree M.Com then after the MBA. Because M.com will give you complete and in depth knowledge of Indian and world Account or Commerce. Some students after done the B.com prefer the MBA but those students whose want to get knowledge that will not choose the MBA just after the B.com.Because in B.com students are not much high knowledge as the corporate sector and other reputed institutes required. I am not telling the MBA is wrong but I want to say that do MBA but do after that time when you have prefect in your course which you have studied in the UG level.

Further I also want to say that choose only reputed institutes for the PG. because its also effect on your career and the top reputed institutes have minor fees as compared to the other private institutes.
The some top Institutes are Sri Ram College of Commerce, Hyderabad University, BHU, Delhi University, Loyola College, Pond cherry Central University, Madras University, St.Xavier College-kolkata etc.

Because in this way when you apply in the MBA after done the M.com your master degree percentage will be used for the past academic qualification for giving you marks not on your UG (B.Com) percentage.

    best of luck

    Hi,

In most of the MBA institutes and universities, they demand for minimum 50% of marks in graduation, so you have to focus on overall consolidated marks of your Bcom as you are in third year of BCom, you should score more than 50% marks.
There are colleges who demands for 60% in graduation too, it all depends on the university or the institute in which you will apply for a seat in MBA.
However there is provision for relaxation in marks for reserved category OBC, SC, ST candidates .

Besides these graduation percentage you also have to score good percentile in your entrance examination of MBA like CAT, XAT, MAT etc , so that you can get a good college.

    All the best.

depending upon the institution and the course which you had chosen it depends upon the percentage.mostly many colleges will be asking for the 50%aggregate in their graduation in any disciple.in some most powerful colleges they will ask about the academic qualifications like in 10th,12th and some extra cultural activities(if any)in top most institutions along with the checking the academic skills they will see for the group discussions, personal interview, current affairs(if any)basing on the type of institution and management.mostly they will give less importance for the eligibility of percentile gain in graduation they should have the atleast 50% but when selecting the candidates they will see whether the candidate is having good command on english or whether he/she can cope with the outside world or not whether they can develop problem solving skills other type of skills that are necessary for a candidate to develop for mba.
