hi..in India the health sector is the one of the most fastest growing sector at present and many new hospitals are coming ,but the real thing to note is that the amount of hospitals that are present are simply unable to cater to the needs of the people right now and there would be an great number of hospitals coming in the near future as the cities are expanding and many new cities are developing.
earlier ion India when the hospital sector was unorganized what used to happen is that one of the doctors would take the responsibility of managing the hospital and also pursue in his practice but with great shortage of doctors right now in the country an doctor can not afford to spare his time in managing the hospitals and that's why there is an great demand of the hospital management professionals in the market .
along with that there is an development of seven star and five star hospitals in the country and they charge huge fees from the patient and hence even the patients expect an great care and service from such hospitals and hence there is an need of trained professionals who are specifically trained for this persons and that's one more reason why there is great demand for the hospital management professionals because they are specifically trained for this job of taking care of the patient and also reducing the various paper works and other problems that an patient faced in an hospital these days .

its because of the above reasons that its an very good idea that you are planning to do an management course in hospital sector because you would surely have an great future,
the only problem in your case is that you are an practicing eye surgeon which is an quiet an lucrative field and if you gnat to just do an hospital management course because you want to open an hospital then that would be very tough because you can not manage your hospital and also fully concentrate on your profession of eye surgeon the best thing to do for you would be to hire an hospital management professional for your hospital and concentrate on your primary profession.
the salary of an hospital management professional will be quite less than what you may loose by concentrating on the management of hospital and neglecting the patience ,because if you start concentrating on the management of the hospital then surely you are going to reduce the number of cases that you attend and hence that will decrease what you earn from your main profession, but if you hire an hospital management professional then you can concentrate on your surgery and the hospital can be managed by him .
also if you are looking to do an management course in hospital then its better to go for an full time course than doing an part time course because only then you will gain the real knowledge

    Hey,

Over one-half of all jobs in this field are in hospitals. The remainders are in home health agencies, medical and dental laboratories, offices of dentists and other practitioners, and other health and allied services. New graduates with Master's degrees in health services or hospital administration may start as assistant hospital administrators, or as managers of non-health departments, like finance. Post-graduate residencies and fellowships are offered by hospitals and other health facilities; these are normally staff jobs. Graduates from Master's degree programmes also take jobs in hospitals, large group medical practices, clinics, mental health facilities, and multifacility nursing home corporations. Health service managers advance by moving into more responsible and higher paying positions such as assistant or associate administrator and finally, CEO, or by moving to larger facilities.
