    Hi
there is no minimum rank as such. The final admission is not on CAT rank only. It has various components like your score in cat, 10th, 12th, WAT, interview, work ex. Each has certain points.
However, initial call for round 1 is based on ur CAT score. There is certain cut off. Try to get percentile above 99.5 to be on the better side and rest depends on your luck. I have a friend with me who secured 99.98% but still didnt get call from IIM Ahemdabad. Work hard since no rank assure you admission in top IIMs. No. of people at IIM Bangalore is about 350 - 400.

    Hello Friend ,

    LOGO4_1.gif

Those Candidates have passed the Graduation degree with above 50% of marks from a recognized University are applicable for MBA course in IIM . Only those candidates who scores 98 percentile above in CAT Score are applicable for IIM .

After qualifying the exam you have to go through GD round and Personal Interview session . Final year students are also applicable for IIM . Relaxation of marks is for only SC / ST Category belonging candidates . So friend you have to score good percentile (above 98% ) then you will have a chance to get admission in IIM .

    WISH YOU GOOD LUCK ....!!!

Re: Minimum required rank in CAT to get admission in IIM?

Dear first of all i would like to let you know that how many seats are there available in IIM Bangalore for MBA

Total number of available seats in IIM Bangalore - 350 for Master's in Business Administration various streams

Total Fee for complete MBA in Rupees - More than 15 Lac for entire course including training and internship

Now the question comes that what is the cut-off marks required for IIM Bangalore to get admission in MBA and as you know that IIM conduct CAT entrance test then obviously will accept the score card of CAT - Common Admission Test so that you have to prepare for CAT Entrance test first then think about admission and the next thing which is responsible for your final selection in IIM for MBA is that - How much percentage you have scored in your bachelor's degree and other academics then how much working experience you have in any type of field or sector then what and how do you perform in both interview process and group discussion process then only you will get admission in MBA

Cut off marks of CAT for IIM Bangalore were 95+ in the year 2012 so that you need to try to score more than 95% marks only in CAT because the competition is being huge everyday and you should walk according to the present and start preparation well for this exam

I have attached some previous years question papers for CAT Test please download and prepare well

    All the best

    Hi
there is no rank as such. you need to have much higher percentile ( unless you have category). You cant be sure of getting into IIM even at the percentile of 99. Final admission is based on various components. Give your best. Dont only target IIMs. Fill forms of top 20 colleges . colleges like NITIE, SP Jain, SJMSOM, MDI etc are also a good choice.
