MBA in Petroleum or M.Tech in petroleum after completing Mechanical Engineering?

i have a natural feeling to take MBA,but what am hearing is that job placements are getting low these days while an M TECH graduate have higher chances..
am doing my 3rd year in mechanical engineering..
so now am really confused because either i have 2 prepare for CAT or GATE.

Yes you are right, talented engineers are getting good salary as compared to MBA degree holders.if you are interested in mechanical engineering then it will open a lot of option for you once you qualify the GATE.after qualifying GATE you will get a chance to do your M.TECH and job simultaneously .there are approximately 500 seats in different PSUs for mechanical engineers out of 1500 total seats.if you want to do m.tech in petroleum then companies like ONGC will give you job after m.tech in petroleum engineering.students who are pursuing m.tech in petroleum will get job in management field with low salary but you will get a job in research and development and you will got more salary as compared to these students. colleges for m.tech in petroleum are-

    1) RGIPT-offering different degrees in petroleum engineering
2)royal institute of technology and science
    3)indian school of mines.
    4) school of petroleum technology,Gandhi Nagar.
    5)Dibrugarh university
