Selection between MBA and M-Tech totaly depends on what do you expect from the future, what you need in future..
both the courses have got their own positive and negative points.
if you wish to switch over to management and administration side then you should go for MBA.
and if you wish to continue in the same technical field then you should opt for M-Tech.

doing MBA will fecth you a high paying job straight away.
you will easily get a job in any IT firm or any other private sectior company.
demand for MBA degree holders is on a rise as the manpower f company increses.
weel equiped managers are needed every where for the sucess of the company.

M-Tech does not have any significance as far as the job in a company is concirned.
M-tech basically open gates to teaching/lectureship side.
It also opens gate into research field.
so if you wish to go into teaching sector or research , then you can do M-Tech.

if you wish to pursue M-tech then you will have to appear for the GATE exam.
on the basis of your performance in this exam you can get admission into M-Tech colleges.
The IIT's and the NIT's are considred the best for M-Tech ,and these colleges provide a very good placement.
For admissions into IIT's you need to get minimum of 98 percentile in GATE.

And if you wish to do MBA , then you need to appear for the CAT exam.
for MBA the IIM's are the best , and so does the competition for admission into IIM's is very tough.
you can aslo appear for variosu other MBA entrance exams like MAT , SNAP , XAT etc...

    good luck

Dear both courses are the best in case of making good career in their particular stream but as you are pursuing engineering degree then I would like to suggest you to choose M.Tech for further studies because this will be better for you and you have also mentioned that you are good in all academics then why don't you choose M.Tech and engineering discipline as your career option and if you will choose this and complete from a reputed institute then you will have so many jobs of IT and Engineering field and you should make it clear that every course and subject has enough scope in the world but you have to be proficient in that subject then only you will be preferred for jobs and opportunities in your career

If you think about MBA then you may go for it but before that you should know that admission procedure is MBA is not so easy and before that you will have to qualify entrance examination and then GD + PI that are mandatory stages in MBA but if you once qualify the test and get a very good institute for MBA then you will be placed for better and high paying jobs and another specialty of MBA is that you may choose relevant discipline to your engineering so that will increase your knowledge including management education but finally you have to decide on your own base that where you are too much interested in the education field then choose and make your career

    All the best
