I don't think Madras University is AICTE approved. I think you have heard right, because if a university is not AICTE/UGC approved then the deree is never valuable from there. Please check http://www.dec.ac.in for further details and to completely sure about it. Correspondence MBA or regular MBA both give you jobs if they are from a proper UGC approved university and you have the proper skills and knowledge to take away that job. Please check for the list of MBA jobs in FInance/marketing, etc. in www.freshersworld.com or www.freshersadda.com.

Your potential choice of MBA would be
    MBA in Systems
    MBA in HR
    MBA in operations
    MBA in Accounting
    MBA in banking
    MBA in Finance
    MBA in IT
    MBA in Corporate
    MBA in Information Management
    MBA in Engineering
    MBA in Business Management

Now you should not think such things in todays world because noe Girls are doing far better than boys ,I must say all the branches are good for girls as well as boys,An MBA is an well respected degree at International level by all employees as well as Organisations. All the streams which are are equally valuable because all have got equal weightage .After MBA you will be entering into the field of Business and Administration. The specialization now a days is available in different areas like:Finance ,Marketting,Human Resourses,International Managemnt and many more streams...So I would like to tell u that u need not to wory about streams ..Their are Good institutions available in India Like IIMs and other private Institution so prepare well for them and Get the required stream according to your choice....

Hello friend, its good to see your interest in studies while doing job.

As you are working personnel, you should definitely go for correspondance mba only .
You need to join Correspondance university in your home town only so that you can manage your job and course classes altogether.

As far as MBA in Madras University is concerned, the details are as follows:

MADRAS UNIVERSITY has been accredited at the 'A' Grade level by NAAC and it is conferred with the "University with Potential For Excellence" status by UGC.
So there is no harm in joining this university for having correspondance mba.

You can join any of the following streams in MBA as you are a CSE student.

    1 MBA ENGINEERING
    2 MBA ENTREPRENEURSHIP
    3 MBA EXECUTIVE
    4 MBA GENERAL MANAGEMENT
    5 MBA HUMAN RESOURCES
    6 MBA INFORMATION SYSTEM
    7 MBA KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
    8 MBA MARKETING
    9 MBA TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT
    10 MBA TELECOMMUNICATIONS

You can choose any of the above as per your interest .

    Thanks
