Re: IAS after MBA in Finance & Marketing?

If you need to become an Ias officer then no need to do MBA.

IAS require Bachelor degree in any stream.

Now you are doing double MBA.

What will be use of this Mba in Ias.

Becoming Ias is not an small thing.

If you really want to become an Ias officer then you have to think and do very hard work.

It require very hard work to pass the exam.

So if you have the capability of doing hard work then apply for IAS through UPSC website:

Age limit to apply for IAS exam is 21-30 years. The reservered classes age can be relaxed by 3-5 years as per government rules.

The UPSC Civil Services exams are conducted in three stages:

In the Prelims exams there are two Papers:
Both these papers are held in objective Mode
200 marks is alloted to each paper
120 miniutes Time is given for each paper.

Both these papers are Manadatory papers.
That is anyone who fills the UPSC Prelims exams will have to answer both these Papers.
UPSC has stopped asking candidates for options of Papers in the Preliminary exams.

Topics or chapters of these Paper 1 and 2 of the Prelims exams are:
Paper - India and World Geography , Economic and Social development , General issues on Environmental, History of India Current events, General Science, Indian National Movement, Indian Polity and Governance .

2nd Paper - English Language Comprehension (Class 10th Level), Interpersonal Skills including Communication skills, Logical reasoning & Analytical ability, Comprehension, Basic numeracy, General mental Ability.

Prelims exams for the year 2013 is scheduled for 19th May 2013
Notification would be released in February 2013

    Hello Dear Friend ...

    How about you ??

As you have completed MBA ... You are considered as a Post graduate

The minimum age must be 21 years

Maximum age is allowed up to 30 years

You must have a minimum GRADUATION as far as the qualification is considered

And of course there will be an age relaxation for the reserved candidates ...

Like most of the students in India if you also want to choose IAS then its a very good thing because IAS can fulfill all your dreams. first of all have a look over the eligibility criteria :-

    1. All graduate are eligible
    2. Graduation must be done from a recognized university
    3. Only Indian citizen are eligible
    4. Age limit is 20-30 years
    5. Graduation subject does not matter at all
    6. relaxation to those who belong to SC, ST and OBC
    7. Attempts are also limited that is why a thorough preparation in mandatory.
    8. No minimum percentage criteria for IAS.

Dear i think you should choose
English and Geography as you preliminary subjects as they are comparatively easy and you can score good marks in both of the subjects.

Exam is conducted in 3 stages.

    IAS Preliminary
    IAS Mains
    IAS Interview

You said that you are a Hotel management graduate then yes you are eligible and can do better in the exam

    Hope it will help
