good to see your dedication. a lot of hard work is required to score the kind of percentile which will allow you to join any IIM. you can start with preparing for the CAT exam right away. you shall need to score atleast 95 percentile to be considered for IIMs. to get into the top 3 IIMs nothing less than 99 percentile would do.
the CAT exam tests your verbal ability as well as your quantitative aptitude. focus on both these areas equally. it would be advisable to join a good coaching institute. if that is not a feasible option then you can find sufficient help and guidance online too. do remember that you will need to work very hard and in a disciplined and dedicated manner.
do keep overall personality development in mind too as even after scoring well in CAT you will need to clear the second round which consists of group discussions and personal interview. your general knowledge needs to be strong and you shall need good communication skills to get through this round.

now you can appear for CAT either after completing your degree or even in the final year. start your preparation accordingly.

the jobs that you shall get offered after you get will be in extremely respectable companies which pay extremely well. also as you want to help the country you can choose to join the government sector which also recruits from the IIMs.

    all the best

    HI

Country start with youself. Try to do best for yourself and you would be helping country get one good citizen.
Since you have completed your 2nd year of B.Tech, you can start your preparation for CAT from 3rd year of b.tech.
I would advice you to join any good CAT coaching institute. They will cover the basic and entire syllabus in one year. You will have one more year to revise whatever you have studied.
In the last 4 months, try to solve aleast a single mock paper each day and do the analysis each time you solve the paper.
Try to find out you mistakes and if its improving in subsequent mock paper.

    All the best
