As you have done B.Tech then MBA and M.Tech both are good courses for you...but you to choose one then in my suggestion you should do MBA...because if you will do M.Tech then you have scope for jobs in IT Sector, Teaching and GOVERNMENT jobs....

But with MBA you have many options to choose specialization and many option for job...such as you can do MBA in Marketing, Finance, HRM, Foreign Trade, systems management, operation production, international business, Telecom, Information systems and many more....

so with these specialization you can go in sales in your job as well as you can start your business, you can go in BANK jobs, Managerial post for hotels, hospitals etc ....you can go in teaching field also....so you have huge scope for your good future with MBA...so i will suggest you to do MBA...

Re: Is it good to do MBA after B.Tech. with less than 60%?

Sure dear MBA is best for you to make your career after completing your engineering degree because MBA is a professional degree course which is preferred by so many students every year and you have already completed your degree in engineering stream which is also a good achievement for you but this degree is nothing in the present world until you complete any future study as post graduation and you have two options which are best to make your career - MBA and M.Tech and you may choose any one but if you choose M.Tech then you must select that subject as your specialization in M.Tech from which you have completed your B.Tech and it would be great for you but when you have planned for MBA then you may go for it because you can do well in this stream due to your enough interest after degree and you must choose any one of the following specialization in your MBA

    MBA in Construction Management
    MBA in Infrastructure Management
    MBA in International Business Management
    MBA in Human Resource Management
    MBA in Operational Management
    MBA in Material Management
    MBA in Logistics
    MBA in Supply Chain Management
    MBA in Inventory/Accounting Management
    MBA in Information Technology
    MBA in Quality Management

Dear if you complete your MBA with more than 75% marks aggregate in your all semesters then you will definitely be called for interview process from more than 10 companies but you must have in depth knowledge about your specialization subject then only you will be shortlisted for job but if you don't have then we are sorry that is why you have to study hard for every single topic of your syllabus and get good command over your MBA specialization subject

    All the best

B.Tech is the Technical degree means you done your B.Tech degree for getting the job in the Technical field. MBA is the managerial degree means if you will do MBA then you will get the management job in any company whether it is high or low post. If you want to be in the Technical field and want the technician job then you should search for the job or go for M.Tech degree.

But if you want the Management related job then you should be the fresher as the Management student. These two streams are different and you will get the different life and jobs in these fields. But if you still want to go for Management course then you should do MBA. But there is many streams in MBA like Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations managment, IT, Healthcare management. You have to choose the field in which you want to go.

If you have done B.Tech then you can do Operations management course. In this you will get the Production Manager job in any company, but for higher post you should have some experience. In operations management course you will have to oversee, Design, Control the process of production since you are Engineer then you can easily understand the nature of product. But you have to go for your engineering stream related company like Electronics, electrical etc.

If you have done B.Tech in IT or B.Tech in computer area then you can go for MBA in IT management. In this you can get the managerial and good post in Software companies. So, in which area you have done your B.Tech in that area you should have to choose the MBA streams for better job. Best of luck.

Re: Is it good to do MBA after B.Tech. with less than 60%?

    Hi

The minimum requirement for MBA is 50%. So you are eligible for MBA. Moreover since your graduation marks are low, its difficult for you to get job with such low marks with good salary. It also shows you were not interested in the subjects. So better change the field. Go for MBA from good college and get placed in good company. The best thing about MBA is that you can change you field after graduation. It accept all the graduations field.
I would advice you to continue with MBA.

    all the best
