    Eligibility for UGC NET after MBA in International Business?

    Sir,
    I have passed Mcom from IGNOU with 61%. I had subjects like Financial Mgt, Marketing Mgt , Organizational Behavior etc. My specialization was in International Business where I had studied 6 papers. I want to appear in Ugc NET Exam in Management f Can I do so?

    Candidate should have at least a master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% marks and 50% marks in case of SC/ST category candidates

    Examination Pattern for UGC NET Entrance test

    Paper I - General Teaching Aptitude - Objective Type - 60 questions

    Paper III - Your selected subject in the test - Objective type - 75 questions

    Qualifying in each and every single paper is necessary for every candidates

    For Applying UGC /NET , you must fulfill the following Eligibility criteria ;-

    >> you must have holding a Master's degree from a recognized university .

    >> You must have score at least 55% of marks in your master's Degree if you are belonging to General category candidate.

    >> If you are SC / ST category then you need minimum 505 of marks in your Mater's degree .


    ** So Friend , according to your statement you have passed your M.COM with 61% then you no need to worry and yes , you can apply for UGC / NET exam in Management .

    YES, you can appear in the Subject Management in the UGC-NET exams.
    You can also apply for the UGC-NET exams in the subject Commerce, since you have done M.COM

    UGC advises candidates to appear in the same subject in which they have done their Post Graduation.

    Eligibilty for the NET exams is:
    Post Graduation pass with Minimum 55% marks for General and OBC candidates
    Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST candidates

    Scheme of the UGC-NET Examinations:
    There are three papers
    PAPER 1 - 100 Marks 50 questions of two marks each
    PAPER 2 - 100 Marks 50 questions of two marks each
    PAPER 3 - 150 Marks 75 questions of two marks each

    Next NET exams will be held in June 2013
    Forms are filled online
    Fees for the exams can be deposited in the SBI bank
    Forms will be filled through the website www.ugcnetonline.in

    The University Grants Commission conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lectureship only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for

    Lectureship both in Indian universities and colleges.
    AS YOU HAVE SAID THAT YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR M.COM VIA IGNOU WITH 61% , SO NO NEED TO

    WORRY AS YOUR ELIGIBLE FOR UPCOMING NET EXAM THAT WILL BE TAKING PLACE IN JUNE .
    IMPORTANT DATES FOR JUNE EXAM ARE AS FOLLOWS :
    Registration date : March- April 2013Date for UGC NET Exam : June 2013 is approximately on 23 June (SUNDAY).


    UGC NET 2013 Paper Pattern :-


    The test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions.
    Paper 1 :
    Sixty (60) multiple choice questions of two marks each will be given, out of which the Student would be required to answer any fifty (50).

    Paper 2:
    It shall consist of fifty (50) short questions based on the subject selected by the Student. All questions are compulsory and carry 2 marks.

    Paper 3:
    This part consists of only descriptive questions from the subject selected by the Student. The Student will be required to attempt questions in the space provided in the Test Booklet.

    First of all congratulation for completing MBA in International Business. With
    such degree you can sit for NET exam.

    NET:-

    NET is a premier test conducted by the University Grants Commission of India. NET or
    National Eligibility Test is a nationwide entrance examination in India for post graduate
    students who wish to pursue their Phd.

    Criteria for NET Test:-

    1. For those who belong to general category 55% marks is required in their master degree
    from any recognized university in india.
    2. For ST/Sc candidates the requirement is 50% marks in master degree from any goverment
    recognized university.

    • UGC i.e University grant commission conducts the National eligibility test i.e NET every year for the Lecturship and to award junior research fellowship (JRF).
    • As per the qualification requirement, you must have completed the post graduate course in any stream from an recognised university and in it you must have 55% marks.
    • However for the students from the sc/st category and for physical handicapped, the required percentage reduces to 50%.
    • Their is no upper age limit for the lectureship and 28 years of upper age limit for JRF.
    • Since you have completed the Mcom from IGNOU with 61%, so you are eligibile to appear in Ugc NET Exam in Management
