Eligibility for UGC NET after doing PGDM from AIMA,AICTE approved college?

    Dear seniors

I did PGDM from AIMA,AICTE approved course. Am I eligible for UGC NET for management. If not, what could be the solution for this. Shall I pursue MBA again?

    Regards

Post Graduate Diploma is the Graduation Diploma degree in Management and it is not the Master Degree. If PGDM would be equivalent to Master degree then you can fill the form of UGC NET examination. So, you cannot fill the form of UGC NET until you get the Master Degree. So, first of all you have to get the Master degree and then you can go for UGC NET examination.

Some Universities say that their PGDM is equivalent to Master Degree but Mainly it is the Diploma degree after graduation but not the Master Degree. But you don't worry if you have PGDM degree then MBA will be 1 Year for you.

You can get admission in MBA Lateral Entry. In this you can go for directly 2nd year of MBA. In this you will then complete your MBA in 1 Year and then you will be fully eligible for the UGC NET examination. If your age is below 28 Years then you will also be eligible for the UGC JRF examination in which you will do PhD from a recognized university and also go for Professor post in any Management colleges. Best of luck.
