    Eligibility for PCS after doing MBA from Sikkim Manipal University?

    i m B.COM GRADUATE FROM PURVANCHAL UNIVERSITY WITH 43 % MARKS ALSO DID MBA FROM SIKKIM MANIPAL-WITH 72% MARKS AND MY DATE OF BIRTH IS 15.06.1981.CAN I DO PCS.

    If you want to apply for the UPSC Civil services exams than you can apply for the exams right now if you meet the below eligibilty:

    UPSC Civil services exams are held in three stage:
    Prelims
    Mains
    Interviews

    Last date to fill the Prelims exams forms is 4th April 2013
    Prelims exams will be held on 26th May 2013

    Eligibilty to apply to this exam is:
    Graduation Pass in any stream
    No minimum marks is required at Graduation Level

    Age- Minimum 21 years
    Maximum 30 years
    General Category candidates born between 2nd August, 1983 and not later than 1st August, 1992.
    OBC candidates can apply till 33 years
    OBC Category candidates born between 2nd August, 1980 and not later than 1st August, 1992.
    SC/ST candidates can apply till 35 years

    Attempts/Chances: General- 4 times
    OBC-7 times
    SC/ST-No Restrictions

    SO, if you belong to General category thhan you cannot apply for the UPSC Civil Services Exams.

    If you belong to OBC category than only you can apply for the Exams

    Eligibility for UPSC Civil Service Exams

    A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination

    Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

    Dear according to your mentioned qualification you are eligible to apply for civil service exams and you can apply for this exam between - 5th march 2013 to 4th april 2013 at www.upsc.gov.in

    Examination Pattern for Civil Service Examination

    Preliminary examination : Two papers in objective type form and qualifying in this prelims exam is compulsory to be eligible for mains examination and each paper contains 200 marks

    Mains Examination : It has following questions papers only in conventional mode and qualifying in each is compulsory to be eligible for interview process

    Paper I - Essay - 200 marks and English Comprehension and Precis - 100 marks = 300 marks

    Paper II - General Studies - I - 250 marks

    Paper III - General Studies - II - 250 marks

    Paper IV - General Studies - III - 250 marks

    Paper V - General Studies - IV - 250 marks

    Paper VI - Selected First Optional subject by the candidate - 250 marks

    Paper VII - Selected Second Optional subject by the candidate - 250 marks

    List of optional subjects from which you may choose any two for mains examination
