UGC NET and UGC JRF exam both are same but there eligibility criteria is not same. Mainly the exam name is UGC-CSIR NET JRF examination. The eligibility criteria for JRF exam is 55% or above marks in graduation with a UGC and Specially AIU recognized university and the Age Criteria is maximum 28 years of age. If you crossed the 28 years of age then you cannot fill this form. But the educational eligibility is same as NET i.e. 55% of marks in graduation but there is no any age limit for NET exam.

If you will pass the JRF examination then you can eligible for PhD and Lecturer post in any university. You can go for PhD programme as well as the Lecturer post in any university in India. But if your age is upper than the 28 years then you can fill the form for ONLY Lecturer post in India and there is no any age limit for the Lecturer post.

For General candidates, the examination fee is Rs. 450 and for OBC candidate the fees is Rs 225 and for SC/ST candidates the fee is Rs 110. The examination is held twice in a year means you can fill the form twice in July examination and in the December session examination. But first of all you have to see your result.
