    Hello friend,

Eligibility for NET is masters degree or equivalent with 55%.
Definition of "equivalent" is not clear. But I think, as You have a post graduate diploma and not masters degree you may not be eligible for NET.
You should have master degree like M.Com, MSc, MBA to be eligible for NET exam.

Check out eligibility criteria on http://ugcnetonline.in/eligibility.php

To clarify your doubt you can call on helpline number of UGC 011-24113447 or mail at ugcnetonline.in@gmail.com

    All the best....

Only Master Degree holder can apply for the UGC NET exam. If you want to go for the UGC NET exam then first get the master degree. You should enroll for the MBA degree. You have PGDBA degree then you can get the admission in MBA in lateral entry and then MBA will be only 1 year course for you. PGDBA is the Diploma course after Graduation but it is not equivalent to the Master Degree. As you know that 3 Years diploma course is not equivalent to the graduation or B.Tech. Like this you should first do MBA and then you can go for the UGC NET exam.

You can go for MBA through distance learning if you don't want to go for the CAT/MAT examination as the regular course. After it you have to apply for NET Exam. The eligibility for NET exam is 55% marks in the Master degree and 28 years maximum age if you go for UGC JRF exam. In this you can go for PhD admission in good university as well as Lecturer posts. But upper than 28 years you can apply for only NET exam in which you can go for Lecturer post not PhD degree from regular. There is no age limit for NET exam.
