Dear you have great thoughts and thinking about the society and you really wants to serve the India because your interest shows your dedication so that i would like to say that if you are pursuing a full time regular mode MBA then presently it would be tough for you to fight for IAS examination because it is not so easy like banking exams that you will appear and will get qualified, to get qualified in this examination you need to give more than 12 hours everyday for the separate preparation of Civil Service examination and you may not give this time while pursuing MBA because MBA is also a professional degree which may not be completed easily so that first of all you need to start your preparation on small level and apply for this year UPSC civil service exam and participate for first time and check the level of your knowledge and your preparation level that what and how much you have prepared for this examination and are you really eligible to crack this examination and if you find the answer in yes then you need to focus on this examination

First of all you should join any good coaching institute which gives better result and in coaching institute you will have to give at least 6-8 hours everyday for both learning and practice then you will be eligible to compete for this examination and then you will have to give the same time at your home also that is why firstly you should concentrate on MBA and complete if you are interested otherwise you may leave your MBA for 1-2 years and when you get prepared well for this exam then you should restart your study for MBA and complete or you may choose another option which is that, you turn your mode of MBA means you may choose the distance learning MBA course and can complete your both MBA and preparation for IAS Examination

To apply for civil service preliminary exam you should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination and age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

You can apply for this exam between - 5th march 2013 to 4th April 2013 at www.upsc.gov.in

    All the best

Indian Administrative Services i.e. IAS is the entrance test conducted by UPSC. You can apply online and get the general information about applying in www.upsc.gov.in. If you want to go for the IAS exam then you need not to wait for completing your MBA degree
. The eligibility criteria for the IAS exam is graduation from any stream from a recognized university and there is no any restriction of percentage of marks in the IAS examination. You can apply for it right now if you want. You need not to take the subjects which you read in your graduation degree, means you can take any subjects in the IAS exam.

If your Maths is not good then you have to take the Arts subjects like Sociology, Public Administration, History, Psychology etc. If you will go for these subjects then you can easily deal with it. You should also read the newspapers and read its editorial page because you can know the opinions of the good knowledgeable persons. Best of luck.
