yes if you work hard, prepare well for your CAT exam and score more than 95 percentile (as per current trends) you should get a call from a number of iims! at 98+ you should be able to get a call from some of the top iims as well as other prestigious B-schools such as MDI gurgaon, SP Jain etc.
remember that even after getting a call from an institute you still have to clear the second round which consists of group discussions, essay writing and personal interview. be confident, work on your communication skills and remain up-to-date with the current affairs.
    all the very best

Dear as you have mentioned that you are pursuing third year of degree then I would say that this is the right time for you to get good marks in CAT test because if you will complete degree then it would be the wastage of your time if you go to prepare for CAT test that is why you should begin preparation for CAT entrance test to score good marks and you have thought to score more than 98% marks then I will say that you should try to score 100% marks because when you can score 90% marks in 10th then you may score 100% in CAT because nothing is impossible but the condition is that you should be dedicated to your hard work and your preparation then only you will be able to achieve that target and you can work better for CAT test because IIM has fixed the criteria so that you and all other aspirants are working better to get call from IIM so this is not huge to score 98% marks in CAT because every year so many aspirants scores more than 98% marks in CAT but selection is not sure until you score good marks in Interview and Group Discussion Process and you have to be prepared for these steps before that

If you start working on CAT from now with the help of any good coaching institute then you may easily cover the entire syllabus of this exam and may revise once and practice as well in a year and when you come in final year then apply for this test and appear then qualify and get admission in IIM, I have attached a document of the official information from IIM about the cut-off marks required for admission in IIM please download and get full details about the cut-off marks required by IIM for admission in MBA

    All the best
