    Eligibility for IFS after MBA in Travel & Tourism?

    Dear Sir

    I want to confirm the eligibility criteria for IFS. And different posts in IFS. I have completed my MBA in Travel And tourism and Cargo. I am interested to be a part of Forest Department. Please suggest me.

    UPSC Conducts the indian forest service exams each year
    This exam is held just once each year

    Minimum educational qualifications required to apply for this exam is:
    Graduation pass with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Graduation in Agriculture, Forestry or BE/BTECH

    Age- Minimum 21 years
    Maximum -30 years
    OBC can apply till 33 years
    SC/ST can apply till 35 years

    Attempts-General- 4
    OBC-7
    SC/ST-No Restriction

    Selection procedure involves:
    Written test
    Interviews

    So, if you meet the above eligibilty than you can apply for the exams.
    UPSC has still not declared the exam dates for the year 2013

    i completed my mba and i did my under graduation in B,sc computer science. it is eligible for IFS

    IFS stands for Indian Forest Service Exam.This exam is conducted by UPSC.

    For appearing in IFS exam candidate must be a graduate in any one of these subjects – Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry OR any engineering degree from any government recognized university.

    No , MBA in Travel & Tourism department are not applicable IFS exam .

    Final year student are eligible for IFS exam

    Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

    IFS Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year in two stages :

    a) Preliminary Examination
    b) Main Examination.
