Re: Eligibility for IAS exam after Hotel Management?

Sucess in UPSC Civil Services exams depends on the individuals knowledge and hard work.
Its not that a particular students of any stream or course can be sucessful only.

So, i would suggest that instead of getting those data, you should concentrate on your preparations.
Its only you who will have to prepare for the exams and give the exams.
Your sucess will also depend on your preparations and hard work.

This exam is held in three satges:
    >> Prelims
    >> Mains
    >> Interview

Next Prelims exams would be held on 19th May 2013

Eligibilty to apply for this exams is:
    Graduation Pass in any stream
Age between 21 and 30 years
OBC candidates can apply till 33 years
SC/ST candidates can apply till 35 years

Attempts/Chances- UPSC has put a cap on the attempts for General candidates to 4 and for the OBC candidates to 7

In the Prelims Exams there will be two papers:
    1st paper
    - Current events, History of India,Indian National Movement, India and World Geography, Indian polity and governance
General science, Economic and social development,General issues on environmental

2nd paper- Comprehension, Basic numeracy, General mental Ability,Logical Reasoning, English Language Comprehension
