Hi friend dont worry about your less marks in 10 th and 12th class.main eligibility to sit in cat exam is that you should have minimum of 50% marks in your undergraduate degree.good colleges like iims , fms, etc consider overall criteria like your cat percentile , academic records, work experience, performance in gd and pi.For xat exam minimum percentage is 40% and major selection is through xat score with performance in gd and personal interview.etc regards and all the best

For applying to colleges through CAT, the only eligibility criteria is to have minimum 50% marks in graduation.
In that case, you can apply to any college under CAT.

Re: Eligibility to get admission in good MBA colleges through CAT & other entrance exams?

    HELLO FRIEND ,

Its nice to see that you are interested in doing MBA , but firstly the most important is eligibility criteria that you must fulfill in order to sit for MBA entrance exam like CAT,MAT,SNAP, GMAT, etc ....

Hence the minimum educational qualification that is required to pursue MBA is that an individual must have completed his/her graduation in any stream with 50 % for General candidates and 45 % needed for SC/ST candidates . There is no such age limit factor and therefore you can sit for the exam any time but only after completion of graduation as i have mentioned above.

After fulfilling the eligibility criteria you need to sit for MBA entrance exam like CAT,MAT, SAT, SNAP, GMAT,etc... and as you said you wanted to get into good institutes of MBA college so in order to get admission in TOP B-School you have to score good percentile that is above 95 then only you will get a chance to get admission into the Top B-School like :-
    • IIM ( AHMEDABAD)
    • IIM (BANGALORE )
    • IIM (CALCUTTA)
    • FMS (DELLHI)
    • SYMBIOSIS(PUNE)
    • XLRI (JAMSHEDPUR)
    • ISB (HYDERABAD) etc......
So friend , you have to work really very hard .
    BEST WISHES .....
