sir/maam i m a student of allahabad university in correspondence course and just cleared my 2nd year and the aggregate marks of these two years is coming 49%,so i want to know that am i eligible to fulfill cat application form in this coming august 2012.please help me to solve my problem .

If you are belonging to General Category then you need 50% marks in your graduation for applying in CAT exam. For SC/ST candidates 45% marks needed for applying in CAT. The registration form of CAT is available till 19 September 2012. You can apply online for it.

We are sorry for inform you that if you are in General Category then you cannot eligible for CAT exam. But don't worry you can do PGDM from a recognized University. Post Graduate Diploma in Management is diploma degree. If you will take 50% marks in this degree then you can take admission in 2nd year in MBA through CAT.

There is no matter whether you have done you graduation by correspondence mode or regular college degree as per CAT Eligibility.

A candidate who want to take CAT MBA entrance test he/she must have minimum 50% marks in his bachelor degree and you college should be AICTE/UGC Approve and I know that Allahabad university is one of the best University in India and approved as well.

But you need to work on your percentage as you have just 49 marks in your aggregate percentage for 2nd year, It won't be acceptable in CAT.

You have to work hard in your final year at make your aggregate marks after final year minimum 50% if you want to take CAT.

CAT Notification is released in the month of Aug.
