    Hi Guest,
This is the first question that invokes in the mind of a diploma holder just after passing the course and seeing that this course is quite similar to B.Tech and it is a valid technical degree that gives you chance to work with big brands too. But there is no legal ground or eligibility to do MBA after your diploma (with or without experience).
You have to have a bachelors degree (That may be part time or full time). That makes you eligible to go for a MBA.

    Analyzing:

You have experience of couple of years, that is really the good part i must say. But now you have to understand one fact that it is not possible for a diploma holder to reach the position of a B.tech or M.tech student. That is the hurdle, is faced by many diploma engineers. You know the job well but You don't have the certificates to get promoted higher in the ladder. this is heart breaking but it is a fact.

    Solution:

So we can conclude that to solve your problem in along term way(i.e. thinking about you will have a family in future to look after) you should immediately join AMIE. that is the best thing you can do right now. Always remember, 'you go for education once but it rewards you always'.
the course is not huge and you do not need to do any classes and this course is specially designed for working diploma holders. it gives you a long period to complete the papers.
so go for it,join it and complete it. It will give you life long rewards.

    Best of Luck.
