ABOUT CDS EXAM :

Combined Defence Service Exam is conducted twice a year by the UPSC for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy , Officer Training Academy , Naval

Academy ,and Air Force Academy . The notification of CDS exam usually published in the month of August and March , and the exam are conducted in the month of

February and August respectively .

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

NATIONALITY : must be an Indian Citizenship .

Educational Qualifications: For IMA & OTA : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.


For Naval Academy : B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering .


For Air Force Academy : B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering .



Age-limits:


For Indian Military Academy : 19 -24 Years


For Naval Academy : 19 -22 Years


For Air Force Academy : 19 -23 Years


For Officers’ Training Academy : 19 -25 Years

Note : Candidates must be unmarried .

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION :

Written Examination For Indian Military Academy ,Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy .


1. English (Objective type) : 100 Marks


2. General Knowledge (Objective type) : 100 Marks


3. Elementary Mathematics (Objective type) : 100 Marks


Total : 300 Marks

b) For Officers’ Training Academy


1. English (Objective type) : 100 Marks


2. General Knowledge (Objective type) : 100 Marks


Total : 200 Marks

Marks for SSB Interviews

Well as you have said that you have completed your MBA in Hotel Management , friend , you are not applicable for CDs exam , because of your age factor and also because

of your educational Qualification . Hence , i would advice you to continue your work , you can do better in your own field only .

for this exam , one should have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
the age limit for the exam varies as per the wing of defence you wish to join.
for army the age limit is 19-24 years.And for navy and air-force it is 19-23 yeras.

as you have mentioned that you have completed in MBA in Hotel management , then you are surely eligible for the exam in the educational front.
but do see that you are within the age limit constrains of the exam.
if you have exceeded the age limit of the exam , then you are not eligible for the exam.
