Re: Eligibility to appear in NET after MBA in Finance?

Eligibility Criteria to Apply for UGC - NET Exam 2013 :

Must posses a post graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% marks and 50% marks in case of SC/ST/ESM/PWD category candidates.

Candidate must have same as above mentioned percentage marks in his/her graduation also.

If you have completed your master degree or pursuing final year of the PG or appearing for final year examination or awaited for final year result without any backlog then also you are eligible to apply for this exam.

UGC - NET Exam Pattern : There are tow parts in the complete selection process which is following :

    1. Preliminary Exam : This would be objective type paper and you would be asked for different general aptitude subjects as - Reasoning Ability, Mathematics, General Awareness etc. and if you will qualify this exam then you would be allowed for mains exam.

    2. Mains Examination : This would be as conventional paper where you would be asked for your specialization subject in which you have completed your master's degree as you have completed your MBA in Finance so that you have to qualify a Finance Paper in the mains exam and after qualifying this exam you would be under the UGC lecturer.

    All the best

Re: Eligibility to appear in NET after MBA in Finance?

    Dear..

First of all let me congratulate for having such an attractive and good profile. Your move also to go for NET is a good option as it can help you in attaining your career goals at a faster pace.

Now coming to your question, you have not mentioned your age here as this is an important factor. Age should not be more than 28 years as on 01.12.2012. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/OBC. There are few more relaxation available to the researcher. so if you find yourself suitable here than you can proceed.

The other eligibility is as follows :- If you have 55% or more marks in your Post graduation then only you can proceed otherwise you are not eligible for the course, But if you belong to SC/ST or OBC category then you can go for this course with a mere 50% only so check this point also before you start preparing for the course.

    Hope it will help

    Cheers...!!!
