Re: Does 50% marks compulsory in graduation for MBA course?

    Hello Friend ,

YES ! 50% marks is the general criteria to apply for MBA . However , it is relaxed to 45% for Reserved Category .

But there are some colleges/universities which don't have any criteria for MBA in Distance Education mode . They just need Graduation .
But most of them have accreditation problem . The best one among the Distance Education is Sikkim Manipal University . It doesn't have any specific criteria for MBA . Also it is
recognized by DEC and UGC .

    Hi,

Yes you are right that 50% marks are compulsory but not only in final year of graduation, this 50% is consolidated marks of all the three years of graduation which gets counted. So if you are interested in MBA try to score more than 50% marks in overall degree. However there is provision of relaxation in minimum marks for the reserved category SC/ST, OBC candidates, generally for reserved category candidate minimum percentage of marks required is 45%.

Still there are institutes in India which accepts candidates even having 40% marks in graduation.

    All the best.

It is mandatory to have a 50% aggregate to get admission in MBA courses.
one needs to maintain a minimum 50% marks in graduation to be eligible to write the MBA entrance exams like CAT , MBA-CET etc...

    GOOD LUCK
