    Details regarding MBA exams like CAT, MAT and XAT? When is the notification date and how to apply for them? How much salary can i expect after MBA from IP university?

    hey sir..im a btech mechanical student . i want to do mba after i complete my b tech. can u please through some light in mba xams like cat, mat, xat..?? what exactly is mat, xat..?? also wen should i start preparing for them..?? ideal time..?? also im from delhi n i do mba fron govt colleges like ip university, will it be fine ? how much salary can i expect after mba 4m ip university..?? i will surely try for iim in the first place.pplz help.

    Dear Aspirant,

    First i am discussing about,CAT,MAT and XAT.

    CAT

    CAT is Common Admission Test.

    This test is conducted once in a year generally in the month of October or November Month.

    CAT is Computer Based Test.

    Notification releases in the month of August


    Eligibility Criteria

    Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree,with at least 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA


    Level of the Test

    CAT affiliated B-Schools(like IIMs and some other top B-Schools)are ranked a tad higher

    XAT

    Xavier Admission Test.

    This test is conducted once in a year,during the month of January

    XAT is a paper pencil based test

    Eligibility Criteria

    Candidates who are graduates and are in their final year of graduation can apply candidates with less than 50% marks in graduation are also eligible to apply

    XAT affiliated B-Schools are considered to be generally ranked high compared to MAT.

    MAT

    MAT is Management Aptitude Test.

    This test is conducted four times in a year in the following months those are as follow February,May,September,December.

    MAT February-2012


    Eligibility Criteria

    If you want to apply for Management Aptitude Test,Graduate in any discipline,Final year student of graduate course can also apply.

    MAT is Paper Pencil Based test and Computer Based Test.

    Examination Dates

    Paper Based Test on 05/February/2012

    Computer Based Test on 11/February/2012

    Last Date for sale of Application form is 14Th /January/2012

    Last date for submission of application form is 17Th/January/2012


    If you completed MBA in Famous B-Schools or IIMs,You can get minimum one lac for month based on your talent and performance in interview

    We can't say exact salary.If you want to draw good salary for month,You should do your MBA from Good Business Schools or IIMs and you should improve your communication skills.Definitely you can get good salary

    CAT Common Admission Test

    Those candidate have above 50% in graduation are eligible for CAT exam.For SC/ST candidate this marks is decreased to 45% in graduation.

    Your graduation college or university must have UGC approval.

    There is no age criteria for CAT exam.

    Pattern for CAT exam:-

    Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
    Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning

    CAT exam date for 2011 is already one so you can wait for 1 years.

    Management Aptitude Test (MAT)


    The minimum qualification for appearing in MAT 2012 is graduation in any discipline from any recognized University .

    Final year student in any undergraduate (i.e. B.A, B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech., etc.)can also apply.

    There is a minimum percentage requirement in graduation which is different for different management institutes and universities.

    Pattern for MAT exam-

    MAT has 5 Sections:

    Quantitative Ability
    Reading Comprehension
    Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency
    Logical Reasoning
    General Knowledge

    Total number of questions: 200; 40 in each section
    Duration of the MAT: 150 minutes.
    Marking: 1 mark for each correct answer and 0.25 negative marking on wrong answers.

    EXAM DATE DETAILS:-

    FORM AVAILABILITY----First week of January-2012
    LAST DATE-----17 January 2012 (Tuesday)

    EXAM DATE----Paper Based Test 05 February 2012 (Sunday) / Computer Based Test 11 February 2012 (Saturday)

    Xavier Admission Test (XAT)


    Those Candidates should have a Masterís degree or its equivalent in any discipline

    or

    CA / ICWA / CS with at least 55% marks ( 50% for SC / ST candidates )

    or

    BE / BTech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks ( 50% for SC / ST candidates ) obtained after a minimum of 10 +2 +3 years of education or a professional qualification like CA / ICWA / CS with at least 55% marks ( 50% for SC / ST candidates )

    or

    BE / BTech degree or equivalent with at least 60% marks ( 50% for SC / ST candidates ) and two years of relevant work experience are eligible for XAT exam.

    This exam date already over.So you can try for NEXT year.

    MBA exams like CAT, XAT or MAT requires consistent efforts to crack such hurdle. you need to give a lot of time to prepare for such exams. I will give you the details regarding the above Management exams one by one.

    CAT
    - CAT is the Common Admission Test conducted by Indian Institutes of Managements. you need to put sufficient amount of time to prepare for the exams like CAT. I will give you the eligibility criteria as well as other details regarding the CAT.

    Eligibility criteria :


    - Minimum of 50% of marks in your graduation.
    - No age limit.

    Course content :

    -
    Quantitative ability
    - Verbal Ability
    - Logical Reasoning
    - Data Interpretation
    - Data sufficiency.

    XAT

    - It is Xavier Admission Test, which is conducted by XLRI-Jamshedpur. It is one the good test which is being conducted in india for MBA exams. It is conducted in the month of January.

    - It is also having the same criteria as above and same course content . Please go through it and get accumosted to it.
