National Eligibility Test i.e. NET is conducted by University Grants Commission i.e. UGC. There are two types of UGC examination for Lecturer post. UGC JRF exam and UGC NET exam. In UGC JRF i.e. Junior Research Fellowship exam you can go for Lecturer post as well as PhD in Management. But in UGC NET exam you can only go for Lecturer post, not in PhD in Management.

The eligibility criteria for UGC JRF exam is Master Degree in relevant subject with 55% marks and above with a recognized university. The age limit for JRF exam is below than 28 years. If you have crossed 28 years of age then you cannot fill this form. In that case you can fill NET form.

The eligibility criteria for NET exam is same as JRF but there is no age limit in NET examination. If you have 55% and above marks in your MBA then you can fill this form.
But your MBA should be recognized with UGC and specially with AIU i.e. Association of Indian University.

If you want to go for PhD degree also then you can go through distance learning. If you are now currently in Job then you should do it from distance learning but if not then you can do it from regular university. For more details go to www.ugcnetonline.in. Best of luck.
