IGNOU has established it's many regional centers in various cities of India and you may get study material from that center and complete your study weekly/daily/monthly as you want in the regional center or at your home

You need to have at least 50% marks in your bachelor's degree and will have to qualify OPENMAT entrance test and if you have already qualified in CAT or MAT or XAT or SNAP then you do not need to appear for this test

Karnataka State Open University : This is also a good university for distance learning and correspondence programs and you may get admission in this university you need to have a bachelor's degree only and you can complete your MBA within 2 years and you do not need to pay more than 60,000 INR for complete course

MBA is the degree of Business Administration and by it you can get promotion and go to the managerial field in your company. It is the Master's degree in business administration which is offered by many institutes as the distance learning course. There are some good and recognized Universities which offer this course but many of universities not offer Lectures in week days also. You have to prepare for it by your study materials.

The best and raputed university is IGNOU which is recognized with UGC and specially with AICTE All India Council of Technical Education for its MBA. But in this university you have to give the entrance test named OPENMAT, if you will go for CAT/MAT entrance test then you need not to give the OPENMAT. But if you want to go for some university with direct admission and no any entrance test then here are some:-

    1. Karnataka State Open University KSOU which is state university and recognized with UGC.
    2. Sikkim Manipal university SMU recognized with UGC but its a private university of Sikkim.
    3. IASE Deemed university which is recognized with UGC.
    4. Periyar University which is state govt. university of Tamilnadu and recognized with UGC.
    5. M S university also state university of Tamilnadu and recognized with UGC.
    6. Vinayaka Mission Deemed university which is a deemed university and recognzied with UGC.

Here you have to confirm that the university in which you are taking admission for part time is fully recognized with DEC i.e. Distance Educational Council or not. If the university is not recognized with DEC then the degree is not valuable. The MBA course period is of 2 Years and you have to choose the streams in it. There are many streams in MBA like Finance, Marketing, HR, operations management. Since you are Engineer then you can choose operations management or Production managmenet. The fees of university you can see in the prospectus of the university.

Here Vinayaka mission university, periyar university, M S university, KSOU is fully recognized with DEC. To see the recognition of DEC go to website www.dec.ac.in and click on Recognition Related Information which is right corner list in the website. You can see Recognition status, currently valid, complete and expired. Click on it and see the recognition of university. Best of luck.
