    Details about IPS after MBA?

    Hello sir/mam I am jyoti .I pursuing MBA . I want to be a IPS officer but I did not got full information about its procedure so please tell me full structure of exam and requirement .

    About IPS exam:-

    Educational Qualification:-


    You should have minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university.
    Age criteria:-

    For General category candidate,age should be between 21 to 27 years
    For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years
    For SC/ST category candidates age should be between 21 to 35 years.

    No of attempts:-

    4 attempts for General category candidates
    7 attempts for OBC category candidates
    Unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates

    IPS exam stands for Indian police service which is conducted by UPSC. you have to apply for Civil Service Exam.

    To Apply for Civil Service Examination you must satisfy the eligibility criteria.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

    ===>The candidate must be a graduate degree holder from recognized university.
    ===>Final year students can also apply.
    ===>The Age should be between 21 - 30 years at the time of appearing the entrance test.(general category).
    ===>Upper age limit is relaxed to SC/ST, O.B.C. candidates.
    ===>For SC/ST -> 21-35 years.
    ===>For O.B.C -> 21-33 years.
    ===>For Ex-servicemen it is 5 years from the prescribed limits.

    Physical Standard :

    The physical standard required for the IPS exam is given below:

    Height:
    Candidate should have Minimum height required for men is 165 cm
    Candidate should have Minimum height required for women is 150 cm
    There is a relaxation in height for SC/ST,OBC,. candidates for men it is 160cm and for women it is 145 cm.

    Chest Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
    Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

    Eye sight 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

    PATTERN OF IPS Exam
    ~~Preliminary Examination
    ~~Main Examination.

    The preliminary has two papers:

    The general studies paper This paper will carry 150 marks.
    CSAT

    Syllabus of IPS Entrance Exam

    Students will have to prepare for all the subjects mentioned below.

    Quantitative Aptitude
    Verbal Ability
    DI/DS
    Reasoning Ability
    General Awareness
    Both these papers will be of the objective category. Students can write the exam in Hindi or English. The syllabus will be of the graduate level.

    The Main Examination of the following papers.

    Paper I - One Indian language This will carry 300 marks
    Paper II English This will carry 300 marks
    Paper III Essay- This will carry 200 marks
    Paper IV&V - General Studies - This will carry 300 marks
    Paper VI-IX - Any two optional subjects Each paper will carry 300 marks
    Each of these papers will have duration of 3 hours.
