    Eligibility for UPSC IAS exam 2013

    A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or board or institute

    Age should be between 21-30 years and relaxation in age as per government guidelines

    5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years upper age relaxation for OBC category

    10 years upper age relaxation for PWDs and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates

    You have completed your bachelor's degree and pursuing MBA so that you are eligible to apply for IAS exam

    Examination Pattern for IAS exam :

    Preliminary exam : This would be your objective type exam in which you have o qualify two papers which would be conducted for 400 marks means each paper has 200 marks and qualifying in this exam is most necessary to reach to the next step

    Mains Examination : This would be your conventional type paper which has 9 various papers conducted for 2000 marks and you would be offered to choose any two subjects in this exam and qualifying in these 9 papers is also necessary to reach to the interview process

    The minimum qualification to appear for IAS Exam is graduation only.

    The selection procedure will be by

    Civil Services Aptitude Test
    Civil Servicesa Main Exam
    Interview

    You have to crack the above selection procedure to join IAS.

    So, I suggest you to prepare for this exam.

    yes we can do IAS after completion of our MBA also .we can do IAS after completing graduation
    eligibility for IAS exam is:
    • general category 30 years
    • backward class-33 years
    • sc/st it is 35 years
    • blind ,deaf,orthopeadical-40 years
    • there are certain reservations for the domiciled jammu and kashmir from during the period of 1961

    You can take IAS exam after MBA which is conducted by UPSC once in a year.

    Exam Eligibility;-

    1-You must be passed a graduate degree from a Indian recognized university
    2-There is no percentage requirement
    3-Appearing in final year candidates are also eligible.
    Age limits;-

    General age limits is 21-30 years. Age relaxation is given reserved category students.

    Age relaxation;---

    3 years age relaxation for OBC category
    5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category
    10 years for PH candidates

    Number Of Attempts;-

    4 times for General category Candidates

    7 times for OBC candidates

    No limit for SC/ST category

    From this year, exam pattern has been changed.

    1. passed in graduation from a recognized university.
    2. age must be under
    a) 30 years for gen category.
    b) 35 years for obc category.
    c) 40 years for sc/st category.

    c) no maximum limit for sc/st candidates.
    since you are pursuing mba so you have already cleared your bachelors degree if your age in udere the maximum age than you will be eligible for upsc exam.

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative services and it is a exam which is conducted by UPSC every year and if you go for this exam then you can get the premier job offered by Indian Government. Exam is conducted once in a year. It is a tough exam to crack and every year thousands of student sit for this exam but only a few are fortunate enough to get the job.


    Exam Pattern :-


    The exam is conducted by UPSC in 3 Phases


    Phase 1 :- First of all you have to go for a preliminary exam which is common for all candidate and it is generally conducted in the month of May or June.


    Phase 2 :- If you manage to clear the exam then you have to go for the next exam which is called as a Final exam and the question in this section will come from the subject that you choose from given list of subject

    - The name of exam is Indian Civil Services Exam.

    - The eligibility for IAS exam is given below:

    * Candidate should be graduation degree holder in any stream. The degree is to be studied from government recognized college. Final year student can apply.

    *. Age limit : between 21 and 30 years.

    *. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories:

    * OBC: 3 years.

    * SCandST: 5 years.

    *. Limit of attampts: 7 for OBC, 4 for general and no limit for SC/ST.

    * Selection Scheme:

    1. Prelimnary Exam.

    2. Main exams.

    3. Personal Interview.

    You should be bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university
    Your age must be 21-30 years
    5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST
    3 years upper age relaxation for OBC category
    The candidate must be an indian.

    MBA is a masters degree.

    IAS requires only Bachelor's degree.

    So you are eligible for IAS exam as you are graduate now.

    Because only graduates can apply and do MBA course.

    Well you should have attanded the age of 21 years and not crossed the age of 30 years.

    The upper age is relaxed for OBC with 3 years and SC/ST woth 5 years.

    General can give only 4 times IAS exam, OBC can give it for only 7 times.

    3/5 years relaxation for sc/st catagories
    4/Final year candidates are also eligible
    5/You must be an indian.
