CAT is a common admission test,which is a national level test conducted by IIMs to get admission in to their management programs.from 2009 CAT was conducting as a online test.exam durance is 2 hours 15 minutes. another 15 minutes for tutorials.

as far as the syllabus is concerned ,from this year there is change in the pattern of the cat examination and that's an major change because from this year the cat examination will be only in two parts part one consisting of quantitative ability and data interpretation and the second part will consist of the verbal ability and logical reasoning and also these two sections will be tested in separate timings and once the time for one section is over you can not go back to it again and the entire examination will be of two hours total .
