    Re: CAT preparation after BBA?

    Dear..

It seems like that you are doing BBA and want to go for MBA and want to know about CAT entrance exam scheme as well as how to prepare for the entrance exam of CAT, but first of all lets talk about CAT.

Common entrance test (CAT) :- CAT is a MBA entrance exam which is conducted by Indian institute of Managements. It is a exam conducted once in a year for admission in the premiere management institute of India. CAT is a exam where success rate is so low. The exam is objective type and you will see there are 5 major sections such as English, Maths, GK, Reasoning and mental ability. For IIM's one should not expect calls if they got below 95% and this shows the toughness of the exam.

If you are in BBA then you must start preparing for CAT as i already said that it is a tough exam. One more thing that i want to tell you is that you need to focus on a strategy as it is not easy to clear the exam without proper strategy. You can also take help from any institutes and clear your doubts. One thing that you should know is that you have to follow more on weaker subjects and also give time to the easy ones.

Now the question comes here is what you should do after your BBA. Then i advice you to go for MBA.

Benefits of MBA are as follows :-
    1. Easy to switch job in future
    2. Good job Opportunities
    3. Better career growth
    4. Good starting salary
    5. fair chances of getting promotions
    6. Requirement of MBA graduates are everywhere.

Hope i have cleared your doubt

    Cheers...!!!

    Re: CAT preparation after BBA?

After Completing you BBA , you have two options:
    >> Go for the Jon based on your qualification which is BA in your case.
Work for 1-2 years and than try for MBA

    >> Or else you can straight awy enrol for the MBA course soon after completion of your BBA.

I would suggest that go for Job after completing your BBA.
Work for atleast 2 years and than try for MBA

In those two years that you are working, you can prepare for the MBA entrance exams along with your job.
Also you can prepare for other government jobs exams during this period.

You can apply for below government jobs after completion of BBA.But please note that these jobs selection procedure involves Written test and Interview.
    >> BANK PO
    >> SSC Combined Graduate Level exams
    >> SSC FCI exams

Major MBA written exams that you should give are:
    >> CAT
    >> XAT
    >> SNAP
    >> CMAT

When you give CAT , you aim should be to get more than 95 percentile marks

    =========================

    Hi,

Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test held in India. This test scores a person on the bases of Quantitative Ability,Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning.

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) started this exam and use the test as an important component in selecting students for their business administration programs.

The test is conducted every year by one of the IIM's based on a policy of rotation. Other institutes can also opt to use the scores of CAT as a criteria for admissions.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste(SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Persons with Disability (PWD) category)

So the 1st thing you need to do is to make sure that you get atleast 50% in BBA.
Rest try to identify your weak areas and start working on them.

But keep in mind one thing that it is the self study and the amount of hard work that you put after going back home is really what matters.
Revise all the notes that you make at home.
Keep doing hard work and burn your night lamps!

Best of Luck for the exam!
