Re: Can I undergo MBA in Human Resources with Diploma?

Hello Gopi. One can definitely apply for the MBA in Human Resources or any other stream through distance learning in India post the completion of the diploma however the only requirements in case of the diploma holders are that the diploma should be done through a recognized university/institute and secondly the diploma should be of three years duration.

There are many institutes in India that provide MBA through distance learning. Every institute has its own eligibility criteria and policies. However, except the premier business schools like IIM and similar business schools ask for entrance exam before selecting candidates and contact center classes post getting admission in the distance learning program. Rest all distance learning universities take admission only on the basis of the application and meeting eligibility criteria.

    Dear Mr Gopi,

It is nice that you have completed your Polytechnic/a diploma course. The line of your field of study is towards Technical and i.e. Engineering. It would make some value to your resume only when you
totally complete Engineering Graduation after the diploma. The polytechnic/Diploma is equivalent to Intermediate/10+2 only.

Where as your aspiring course is a non-technical and that too MBA, which is a post graduation course.

Whatsoever if you are totally interested to do MBA, then in this case you need to complete a bridge course equivalent to Graduation Level
for a minimum period of 2 Yrs (Since the duration of polytechnic course is 3 Yrs ) in order to make you to become eligible to MBA.

This Diploma courses are being run by many recognised universities like IGNOU etc. Also there is a 5 Yrs MBA Program after Intermediate/10+2 level
is also being imparted these days to suit the candidates like you.

So check various entry options of IGNOU and other institutes which provide a valid MBA program (which is normally 5 Yrs) after even Polytechnic/Intermediate.

so if you have this than you can do the MBA in Human Resources.

thank you for asking the question

After diploma it is not possible for you to join MBA.
first complete your B.Tech or go for some other degree course. then only you are eligible to appear in CAT.

or you could join a company and gain some experience and then try for MBA.

    Hi Gopi,
Your Interest of doing MBA and your choice Human resources discipline are good. But MBA being a Post Graduation programme you will need a under graduation degree for applying MBA. So i will advice you to join in any graduation course and complete your UG initially and then apply for PG course. Also for MBA through distance mode your diploma course with 55% will make you eligible. But prefer doing Full time MBA only which can fetch you lots job opportunities.

    All the best

    MBA course-
As you know MBA is Master degree course and it is of 2 years so minimum qualification required for exam is Graduation details are given below-

    Eligibility for MBA course-
Any candidate who have Graduation degree with 50% marks or years is eligible to doing MBA course or eligible to appear for MBA exams..
Final year candidates are also eligible to in order to appear for MBA exams...
But as you are diploma holder so you are not eligible to appear for any MBA exams currently..
However if you want to do MBA course then you have to must take graduation degree first and then you are eligible for the MBA exams as I think diploma is of 2 years so this is why you are not eligible for the same....

Don't worry first go for graduation now and then you can try for appearing in MBA entrance exams,...
And try to start preparations now if you want to crack any of MBA exams..
Here are the list of MBA exams...-
    ATMA,
    ICFAI,
    CAT,
    MAT,
    CET,
    UPTU,
    IGNOU,
    XAT.

Re: Can I undergo MBA in Human Resources with Diploma?

    HI Gopi

As per the CAT or any other MBA entrance exam eligibility criteria

    - You should be a graduate
    - you should have done your graduation from UGC recognized college/institute
    - You should have scored atleast 50% marks in your graduation ( 45% in case of SC/ST)
    - no live backlog

So as per your profile mentioned and eligibility mentioned above, you are not eligible as you are not a graduate student

So you should go for graduation first and try to score good marks in graduation and then appear for any MBA entrance exam and score very high percentile.

some of the entrance exam you may appear after your graduation is as follows

    - MAT
    - SAT
    - XAT
    - ZAT
    - CAT
    - CMAT
    - SNAP
    - NMAT etc

    All the best
