    Can i opt for banking career after completing MBA in finance?

    i am doing my mba in finance my acadamic record is very good

    Yes friend,

    Surely you can apply for banking job. Currently BFSI sector is providing lots of opportunities.
    You can work in banks like:

    Citi bank
    Corporation bank

    You can do certifications like NCFM to enhance your CV.

    yes you can choose banking career Banking as it is one of the most sought after career choice among the aspirants. It is an entry into a well paid, secure and status career. Though you have completed your MBA in finance then its very good for you that number of opportunities will come your way.
    Though the Public sector Banks as well as government sectors are appointing management graduates, and many more.
    Generally banks look for good communication skills, good interpersonal skills, the ability to deal with
    customers, an alert nature, and basic knowledge of the industry. However to join foreign or private sector
    banks at higher than entry level one needs specialization in some specific areas. For example expertise
    in project analysis, credit appraisal skills, managing huge loan portfolios general and foreign exchange
    and money .Good computer knowledge is always preferred.

    There are front office personnel in all banks, and then there are supervisors who handle most back office
    operations like completion of transactions, general ledger work, overall supervision.
    Banks are now offering good salary packages. Most Public sector officers can begin
    in the Rs 6000-8000 per month scale. MBAs recruited by private and foreign banks are given
    plum packages to the extent of about Rs 25000-30000 a month.

    There are following type of Commercial Banks:

    Public sector Banks

    Private sector Banks

    Foreign/Multinational Banks

    If you wish to join private sector banks or Foreign banks than you just need to apply and they will call you for the interview
    interviews are held for 3-4 rounds and results are told on the same day.

    But if you want to join the PSU banks than you have to sit for the entrance exams
    IBPS (WWW.IBPS.IN) CONDUCTS COMMON WRITTEN EXAMS for the Post of PO and clerks on behalf of 19 public sector banks.

    Eligibility :

    Min eligibility for PO is graduation pass and age should be between 21 and 30 years
    Min eligibility for Clerical post is 12th pass with min 60% marks or graduation pass with age between 18 and 28 years

    SBI conducts its own PO and clerical exams eligibility is same as above.

    yes, surely you can.

    infact , many top notch banking careers are occupied by the candidates who completed their MBA in finance .

    to have a very good career in banking sector it is very good option to go for MBA in finance.

    it will definitely brighten your chances of making it at the top positions of leading banks.
