Re: Can i get admission in good college for MBA with 60% and open category?

YES, you definitely can get admission in good college(rather in top 20 colleges) for MBA of 2012 with 60% marks in Graduation .

There is no reason for worry because you fulfill all the basic eligibility criteria for all the major MBA entrance exam.

    Eligibility criteria for CAT exam-

    1. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to MBA is at least a 3-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/ All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as eligible for Post-Graduate Studies in Management.

    2. The candidates applying must hold a bachelor's Degree with a minimum percentage of 50%( 45% in case of SC/ST/People with disabilities).

    3. Candidates who are in the final year of their bachelor's course or equivalent or those awaiting results of their graduation exam may also apply. However you must provide a certificate from the Principal/Head of the Department/Registrar/Director of the university/institution certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year / is awaiting final results and has obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category).

    4. Students with pending Backlogs are not eligible and should not apply.

But admission to good B-schools depend on other factors like - past educational background, work experience.

Other factors such as 10 , 12 and Graduation exam marks, Postgraduate work experience also are given weightage that can range from 30%-50% of the selection procedure marks.

Written Test and Interview , on the otherhand, add the remaining 50- 70% of the marks.

In my opinion , try to score as high as possible and as near to the 100% percentile. This will help you to get calls from good B-Schools.

Solve as many as possible mock papers, analyze your strengths and weaknesses and work on them accordingly.

Also prepare yourself for GD and PI stage with the help of Mock GD and PI preparations.
