According to my opinion it is good if you choose M.Tech after completion of your B.Tech because you had basic knowledge of previous areas so it would be easy for you to understand in any better way and moreover the job prospects are also good and thereafter you can go either in research side or else in faculty side or else in good company in higher position. But where as for the MBA it is completely different it doesnot depend upon the core subjects it only depend upon the communication skills, socila skills, administrative skills, management skills etc that are required for the course and it is done only through the constant practice. So in my opinion it is better if you chose M.Tech rather than MBA after completion of your B.Tech so that you could feel easy .In MBA also we have large amount opportunities in enterpreneurship, business management, marketing, finance etc which offer high salaries and you can go any where as you wan tif you have that certificate of completing your MBA and if you shoe your talent to others.

Production-Management-System.jpgIf you have interest in M.Tech then you should go for M.Tech. What other people say you need not to think of it. You should go for your own interest that is better for your future. By M.Tech branch you can go for any Technical job in Industrial area. You can go for govt. jobs also like SAIL, Railway and also in Force. Also you can go for private and public area company.

There are many companies which offer you job in Technical area. There are many compaies which work in engineering sector and they want engineers for that area. Also you can go for Research center and Defence Ministry job. Also you can go for DRDO. There are many area in which one can go after engineering.

In all that area you will get higher rank of post like Senior Engineer. You will be H.O.D. of your area in the basis of M.Tech. Also by UGC-NET exam you can go for Lecturer post in Engineering colleges also.

MBA is the managerial field and it is totally different from area of enginnering. So if you will do MBA then you will totally get rid of area of engineering. But if you don't want to leave engineering area and also want to go for MBA then you should do MBA in OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT.

Operations management is the Production Management in which you have to control the process of production in any company. In this you can use your engineering knowledge. Because you are the manager of the process in which company made the product, you can easily understand the nature of product. Best of luck.

    Hello,

MBA and M.Tech both are good carier. you can choose your carier by your own interest or goal.
    MBA is related to Buisness
M.Tech is related to your core subject.
if you are interested in getting job in mnc then MBA is best for you.
if you are interested in research, teaching at university.or become to scientist then M.Tech is best for you.
So you can choose your carier by identifying your own interest and by fixing your goal

    All the best

Whatever you heard from your friends, that is true but not upto 100%. M.Tech candidates will join Teaching Jobs. But that is not the only source for them to get the job. I have seen many candidates working with industry after completion of their M.Tech course.

More over, you are having interest to do M.Tech course. Then it would be better to join the same.

If you join a course in which you are having interest, obviously you can perform well in your academics and you can easily get the job.

In addition, there is a scope that you can perform well in the job which you are going to join.

This many advantages are there for you through M.Tech course.

At the same time we can underestimate MBA course also. There is a good carer scope for the candidates in Management field. Along with that, there are good number of job opportunities for MBA candidates in various business sectors.

But as you are having interest to join M.Tech course, I too suggest the same for you.

The admission for both the courses will be given on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exam.

If you want to join M.Tech course, you have to crack GATE Exam. (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).

In contrast to this, if you want to join MBA course, you have to crack any of the following Entrance Exams

    CAT
    MAT
    GMAT
    SNAP
    XAT etc.

So, prepare well for GATE Exam and get good rank in the Exam and try to get admission in IITs for this course.

    Wish you all the best.

Re: Better option between MBA & M.Tech. after B.Tech.?

First try to get job after B.Tech.

so many jobs are there for B.Tech candidates.

If you don't get job, then think of higher studies.

if you want to go on in core side to get job in core companies,

    then prefer M.Tech course.

You have to write GATE Exam to join this course.

but if you want to go to management field,

    then join MBA course.,

    You have to write

    CAT
    MAT
GMAT exams to join this course.
