Hello dude
In My opinion I think it would better to take GATE
Since you are from Core stream so Undoubtedly opportunities will be so high in Future
So With the GATE score you will have a chance to apply for the PSU's and Some other Companies as well
Not only for job and it is well for the M.Tech in top most IIT's and NIT's
It does not mean that you don't have a chance for CAT
CAT is also good but as compared with the GATE , Generally CAT takes the some Less Priority for Technical Students
So Hopefully You understand the what I am saying
That is all
But the Decision will be completely depends on you
Good luck
It's better if you apply for CAT, if you are interested in further studies as an MBA degree holds good for working in management levels. Or else if you are interested in Core fields, go for the GATE examination.
Hello Friend ,
Look friend to be very honest both exam is good and is related to different stream , so friend it is you have to decide what really you wanted to do that is if you are interested in switching to business sector then you can go for MBA course , and sit for CAT exam . And if you want to remain in your own filed and wanted to go for higher studies in Engineering then go for GATE exam .
Both exams are good and for the advancement of career . So you need to decide what you want to become at the end of the stage as a business man or as an engineer .
You had an option to do both the course MBA as well as M.TECH , but friend if i was in your place i would have gone to M.TECH study ..... as i know this subject very well so in future i can progress without any hesitation ....
GOOD LUCK !
